Wed2be website, plenty on there under budget 😀

Primark have a long white cotton summer dress with a low neck and puffed sleeves to the elbow. The minute I saw it I said to my friend ‘you could wear that to be married in’. Don’t spend a lot on a dress - you will never wear it again.

Monsoon :) Gorgeous dresses, mine was £350.

I was looking at wedding dresses last year with my DD. We went to wed2be and they were really good. Helpful and didn't mind how many dresses you tried on. We went to get an idea of what we were looking for but ended up buying a dress at the Bridal Factory Outlet in Northallerton (North Yorks). I don't know where you are, but they have plenty of dresses for less than £500 if you want a "proper" wedding dress. https://www.bridalfactoryoutlet.co.uk/promotions/
Some Oxfam shops have a bridal room if you'd consider second hand.

There's a woman on TikTok who has a bridal boutique that sells wedding dresses from £99 and they're gorgeous.

anon12093 · 24/05/2023 21:10

Butterflies bridal and prom on TikTok. I'm sure they'll have Instagram/Facebook.

I got married in the most beautiful dress from Needle & Thread. Cost £350. Honestly their dresses are stunning!

Mumof1andacat · 24/05/2023 21:21

Oxfam Bridal- most dresses are ex display so haven't been worn

Stickstickstickstickstick · 24/05/2023 21:22

I also got married in Needle and Thread, but not one of their more expensive bridal dresses. Just a normal gown but the white colour way. I loved it.

Wed2be have a huge selection

Internationalwomendayheadquarters · 24/05/2023 21:24

Whereabouts are you? I know a truly fantastic bridal shop which is actually a charity - St Richard’s Hospice shop in Worcester. It’s honestly phenomenal - brand new (or once worn!) designer dress for really low prices. The whole shop is dedicated to bridal wear. Well worth a visit or maybe a weekend break to?

FatherJoseFernandez · 24/05/2023 21:27

Monsoon or Debenhams. Mine was £300 in the Debenhams sale

greyhairnomore · 24/05/2023 21:28

Monsoon , some charity shops have bridal stores.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/05/2023 21:50

Ever so pretty

PuffinsRocks · 24/05/2023 21:51

Vinted or Ebay! I got mine for £9.99 on ebay, Debut factory seconds.

Burpcloth · 24/05/2023 21:53

Another vote for Needle & Thread

Lcb123 · 24/05/2023 21:54

Depends if it’s your style but I got mine from Dig for Victory in Brighton-vintage style dresses. And custom made! £500

nicelyno · 24/05/2023 21:55

Get to a Wed 2 Be

Or monsoon

BuchananBaby · 24/05/2023 21:58

Try a small bridal shop as they may do off the peg, I got mine for less than half the price. My original plan was to try on dresses and if I loved one try and buy the same one second hand.

I was also looking at JJ's house and wed2b

Guavafish1 · 24/05/2023 22:01

Whistle

FearTheWankingDead · 24/05/2023 22:03

Our local St Luke’s has so many dresses for about £50-£100. I wish I had bought mine from there instead of spending so much on a dress that I only wore for one day! When I realised they sell them I donated mine - my girls won’t wear it in the future so someone should wear it now.

Noseylittlemoo · 24/05/2023 22:04

I got my wedding dress from David's Bridal (it was around £350) They have a lot to choose from under £500.
I went to one of their stores and loved being able to try on lots of styles and get advice from the assistant. They gave me as much attention as someone buying a £2k dress

MuddaUdders · 24/05/2023 22:06

As above, I bought mine from David's Bridal. Their own brand. Excellent experience, service and craftsmanship x

unicorncrumble · 24/05/2023 22:21

Find a brand and style the suits you and then scour eBay/Vinted etc. lots of people sell theirs second hand
