Said Yes to this dress!...but do I need to change my colour scheme?

First trip dress shopping and after trying on 6 others and thinking there was no way I would find one I liked I tried this on and absolutely loved it! It doesn't actually look much like the image on me, my boobs are much bigger.

It does come in Ivory but this colour just did something lovely for my skin tone (mostly red and blotchy!) so I've decided to go with it.

However I had decided on sage for the bridesmaid dresses. Does it still work and if not what other colours should I be looking at (any suggestions other than pink welcome. MoH would kill me 😅)

Nooo stay with the green! Ivory dresses would end up looking like multiple brides...

Love the dress and it goes beautifully with pale sage for the bridesmaids. You could add an earth tone and even gold for the flowers/ decorations. You could also go darker sage/ brown for the suit.

I think if I told my OH he had to wear a green suit he'd call of the wedding 🤣 I like it though.

I'm not sure there's a multiple brides issue given the ages of the bridesmaids. 7,9,11,14 and 40...but I take your point.

I think I'll probably stick with the sage.

The dress is more dark champagne than pink. The photo with the man is a wedding photo from someone selling the dress 2nd hand and I think the editing may have had something to do with it.

Trying it on today it's more a pale gold than pink

Can I ask why its a no from you for the brown? My brother wore brown at his wedding and it looked great

Also what's the etiquette with regards to Suits? Can I tell OH what colour and then he goes and chooses one or does he get free reign?

I only said the brides thing as a silly joke, really. I just think it’s a bit of a shame to use ivory for bridesmaids as you see ivory at every other wedding.

I think the brown one you chose was lovely. Grey doesn't work as well.

You should certainly tell your fiancé the colour scheme overall, eg, ‘champagne/sage/gold’ and maybe give him a few pointers… but it’s his day and his chance to go all out too if he wants to, so leave him to it I think!

Thank you! I know he will have expected me to chose an ivory dress so I'm hoping to keep the colour secret. Maybe I'll give him the mood board posted above and then set him loose.

Just to clarify so I don't sound like a complete bridezilla he's been very involved so far. Loved the venue as did I, we have chosen music together, he gets to choose desert as I don't have a sweet tooth. I asked him to look at pictures of dresses and tell me what he likes etc

That said it's his 2nd wedding and my first...so I get more vetos than he does 😅
