Just found my perfect dress in a charity shop!

Engaged but no date set yet.

I hadn't started seriously looking for dresses yet but had a fairly good idea of what I was looking for (whimsical, floaty A-line, a fine tulle multi-layered skirt and bodice detailing spreading down to the skirt).

Stumbled across this exquisite thing in a charity shop window yesterday. Perfect condition. Light as a feather and only £125

Will need a little adjustment but nothing huge. Feel very lucky like the dress found me rather than me finding the dress!

It will need a little adjustment but nothing too major. I'm feeling a bit giddy and wanted to share!!

That is beautiful

That is absolutely gorgeous and I'm so pleased you got your dream dress and helped the charity too. What a wonderful thing it would be if you donated it back to the shop after your wedding so the whole experience could be repeated, perhaps with a little note in to the next lucky bride to pass it on!

Have the loveliest wedding OP.

Thanks @Smileatthesmallthings

Completely forgot to echo what others have said about being so grateful to the person who donated it with such a generous spirit.

Our wedding probably won't be till next year but will definitely donate back to the same charity and pass it on. Would love someone else to experience the joy I felt on finding it yesterday rather than have it sat at the back of the cupboard.

What a absolutely stunning dress. Elegant, classic and timeless.

Well done

This is such a heartwarming story!! The dress is beautiful, you have given to charity, you clearly made the people in the charity shops day, wonderful.

Well done OP. That's beautiful.

Beautiful dress and so sensible to get it 2nd hand. Think I need to point my daughter in this direction. I wore my mum's dress for my first wedding....cost £50 to clean and alter. Spent a lot more on my 2nd wedding dress but loved it.

I saw An almost identical dress in a charity shop today! Bargain for some lucky lady!
