Secret wedding..how to find witnesses?? HELP!

Hello!

So me and my partner are booked in to the local Town Hall to be married on March 25th for a secret wedding! The only problem is we need to find two witnesses. We don't have any family members or friends who could witness us so we're hoping to find two random people to help us out.

Has anyone had to find witnesses for their secret wedding before? If so how did you go about it?

I worked as an assistant registrar at our Registry Office. It was in the Town Hall and our 2 security guys were witnesses quite frequently.

@Talcott2007 aww that's so lovely! If we can't confirm any witnesses beforehand I think we'll do the same! I'm sure there's many people out there who'd be happy to help

@KennDodd I definitely think you could! I actually googled "how to hire witnesses for secret weddings" at first haha. Seems it's more common than I expected so I'm sure you'd definitely be able to help a lot of people out as a witness if you did advertise

We did this. We spoke to the registrar beforehand and were told there were always people in the office we could use. So we turned up on the day, and they sorted 2 witnesses for us. Job done
