Hi

Any idea what we could get for people? Any useful ideas we could pinch please?

It's a wedding abroad which is why we only need 20.

Thanks all

I didn't bother. Save 200!

I bought badges, personalised for each guest. Used in place of place cards.
I’m sure some people thought I’d wasted my money, but a lot of people loved them and most everyone wore them all night!

We had personalised tea bag envelopes from eBay and put in teabags. They had an added bonus of using them ourselves if any weren't taken

Don't do it, they're a waste of money. I hate those "love hearts" and scratchcards seem odd. It's another thing that's escalated over the years, you used to get a little bag of sugared almonds!. Just don't bother.

We are doing a local charity close to our hearts. Everyone will get a pin. I like favours

greendale17 · 19/08/2018 12:59

Don’t bother. They are usually left behind on the table or taken home and binned.

^Our guests got posh chocolates each. None were left behind.

Clionba · 19/08/2018 15:35

Posh chocolates is the best suggestion! Those wouldn't be left behind!

Sparklyfee · 20/08/2018 23:16

I left posh chocolates behind. Not everyone likes chocolate especially not great if it's been flown in a suitcase and sat in a hot room for a few days before the wedding.

Put the money behind the bar if there is one or if not spend it on an activity everyone can do together the previous/following day. Boat trip? Watersport? Breakfast? You could give them the invite to it as their favour

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 20/08/2018 23:21

Everyone hates favours. Stick the money behind the bar instead WineWine

We wrote everyone an individual thank you card which went down really well, and then we put the money we saved behind the bar. Double win!
