20 wedding favours budget of about £200

Any idea what we could get for people? Any useful ideas we could pinch please?

It's a wedding abroad which is why we only need 20.

Little bottles of spirits always go down well! Maybe something local?

Don’t bother. They are usually left behind on the table or taken home and binned.

Something you can eat or drink (and I like more's idea of something local), or nothing at all.

No one remembers them!

Not doing favours but I did buy a basket of sparky flip flops in various sizes for guests to take. Thought it might be useful for the night but fits in with the location of mine.

They are a danger to animals and are a fire risk, especially during the summer months where everywhere is tinderbox dry. It is a stupid idea, and they should be banned.

I wouldn't bother with favours at all. No-one remembers them. Spend the money on nicer drinks or food instead.

Paper sky lanterns is basically telling your guests to littler - don't do that.

At my wedding we got little cards and pins from a charity. Everyone took them home and the money went to something worthwhile rather than a cheap bit of tat. Would be very easy to stick in a suitcase too.

I was at a wedding last week and we all got a miniature of our favourite drinks. Mostly spirits but also some nice wines.
It thought it was lovely they had thought about each guest.

Edible. Nobody wants a key ring or packet of seeds.

I think I must be different to others because I love getting favours at weddings. I do remember them and I'm genuinely excited when I get a little packet of seeds 😂

At a hot destination wedding I went to they had disposable fans with their names/wedding date printed on. Fab on the day and then I used it the rest of the week we were there. A godsend! A good idea if your wedding is somewhere hot.

I would agree with other posters - either a miniature bottle of something, or money goes to charity and everyone gets a pin

I like the idea of supporting a charity, but I wouldn't take a pin home. What would I do with it? I never wear pins/brooches etc.

@lonicera it was a tiny charity pin. Not big at all. The sort you out on the lapel of your coat and leave there. If its not your thing that's fine but it wasn't a huge brooch type thing.

£10 each on a wedding favour?! Just give them the £10 seen as they have paid all that money to get to your wedding!
