What would you think if you went to a wedding and the bride wore this? I've got it for my (very small) wedding and I love it.

I'm worried because it's not an actual wedding dress, just a maxi dress. It didn't cost a lot of money so it's not the end of the world if you all think it's inappropriate.

I think it's lovely.

It's lovely! I'm not having a "wedding dress" either - wear what you feel good in 👰🏼

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 15/08/2016 16:33

It's beautiful.

TwoLeftSocks · 15/08/2016 16:34

JigglypuffsCaptor · 15/08/2016 16:35

Jaimx86 · 15/08/2016 16:36

Gorgeous!

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2016 16:38

Love love love it!

Looks comfy, relaxed and elegant. I wore a long peachy coloured bridesmaids sort of dress for my small informal wedding and everyone who's seen the photos have said how nice it is that it was a bit different.

FabFiveFreddie · 15/08/2016 16:39

Hmmm. Not sure personally.

Ultimately if you are looking happy and in love your look gorgeous even if you were wearing a bin bag.

But in terms of the dress itself, I think it would depend on how it's worn. Hair up, nice jewellery, nice make up, appropriate shoes, bouquet....could look lovely. Worn as it is in the picture I think it looks like a moderately fancy summer evening dress.

CharminglyGawky · 15/08/2016 16:40

Lovely.

I didn't have a wedding dress either. I was instead very comfortable all day but still wearing a lovely dress!

TheodoreEvelynMoseby · 15/08/2016 16:42

Beautiful dress

NicknameUsed · 15/08/2016 16:42

I don't get what there is to not be sure about it
I think it is lovely and a nice change from the ubiquitous strapless gown that most brides wear these days (and which are deeply unflattering on all but a few).

Amiable · 15/08/2016 16:45

a beautiful dress, I love it!

More importantly if you love it you will feel more relaxed on your wedding day, and actually be able to concentrate on the important bit - ie enjoying the first day of your married life with your new husband. Hope you have a lovely day (and a very happy life together!)

Cakescakescakes · 15/08/2016 16:46

Gorgeous

JinkxMonsoon · 15/08/2016 16:48

Why would it be inappropriate? You should wear whatever you want Smile

BlackberryCrumbly · 15/08/2016 16:48

Thanks everyone Smile I'm feeling even better about it now. I'm thinking of having my hair like this so hopefully that will dress it up a bit.

I think it's beautiful, and there's no need to do the hair up, right shoes, right flowers thing to wedding it up - it's lovely as it is. Low key but elegant.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 15/08/2016 16:53

I clicked on the dress without reading the OP, just the thread title, and tnhought it was a wedding dress. It's lovely.
