Is it clear that my children haven't been invited to this wedding?

My first ever wedding dilemma post Grin

I've received a wedding invite, the envelope was addressed solely to me and the actual invite inside has no names written on. They have included some information about where the wedding and reception is, where to stay, etc, and there is no mention at all about children. I'm presuming that this means the invite is just for me? Why can't it just be made expressly clear either way?

I don't mind either way, but will probably decline if my children aren't invited (it's at least a couple of hours away, would involve an overnight stay).

We sent our invites out in Jan, also picked ones with no room for names - stupid idea! I wrote the 'smith family' on envelopes if parents were married or named all family members if not. If people had too many kids to fit I popped a note inside saying all family invited. Have had rsvp's back within just with adult names on so have had to do chasing to check people are bringing kids or not, as less kids means more adults can come to the day instead of just night (a room dose, rather than cost reason)

least you've got the courtesy to rsvp - the number of people (inc close friends) I will need to hound as they havent responded is crazy! I'd just text or msg to enquire.

I had an invitation like that to a wedding and when I queried it turned out that we were all invited - so it's not that clear.

Gosh people on here are so mean!
A Christmas card you wouldn't address to the children on the front, but you would on the inside. So it is confusing that there are no names on the inside to indicate who the invite is for.

I think perhaps the invite is just for you, but people don't have to be so mean as it is definitely ambiguous.
I would just politely ask the couple, I know its awkward, but they probably have loads of people in the same position as you!
