3 month heatwave?

My mum told me today that we’re going to have a 3 month heatwave! I’m really worried as I struggled with last year! Anyone heard of heatwave coming and how to survive it

If not, get a tea towel and run under the cold water tap, wring out and place around your neck and it will instantly cool you down.

Running the inside of your wrists under cold water is good too.

I read about the 3m heatwave too but it was a link on FB to the Daily Mail, so not sure how reliable that is.

I read the article then went out and bought paddling pools and all sorts, hope it isn’t bogus.

Op ice in your room and a fan. I slept with a wet towel on me when I was pregnant during the summer last year. Across my chest, that really helped. Ermmm water spray, cooling body gel, there’s one that’s meant to be good for cellulite but really it makes you cold all over. It keeps your skin cold, I shiver even thinking about it. It’s soap and glory one.

Hot water bottles filled up and put in the freezer helped me sleep last year when it was too hot.

I don't think forecasters can reliably predict next week's weather, never mind a 3 month heatwave!

Bring it on though, I love the heat.

Yes, May, June and July were great last year. Then the monsoon kicked in for August, perfectly timed for the school holidays!

I really hope this is wrong, last Summer was unbearable.

I don't think forecasts can be relied on though. Mine said 0% chance of rain one morning last week - at the very same time as it was pouring down.

There's no real evidence yet of this, at the moment the met office have it pegged as more likely to be warmer but also wetter than average rather than the converse.

I interpret this as being potentially quite a thunderstormy time ahead.

Heatwave my arse. I froze today. I will be so depressed if we have a cold rainy summer.

When does it start?

I picked up my first ever convertible car today so I suspect it will be the wettest summer ever. In fact tomorrow we are due torrential rain and thunderstorms so I’ve cursed the weather. Sorry in advance

There's no heatwave.
I know this for certain as, 3 weeks ago, I bought myself a new table and chairs set for the patio. It started raining about 10 minutes after dh built it, and hasn't stopped yet.

"last summer was awful"!!!! What planet were you on?? It was gorgeous! We spent the summer on the beach or camping, the washing was outside all of the time, the windows were open, everyone was smiling... it was the best summer ever
