Storm Clodagh

Clodagh- a nice Irish name for a girl. Who gets to choose the name of the storm?

I thought the public had been invited to submit names. So far we have some appropriate names :) - Abigail (a big gale) and Barney. Clodagh maybe because it sounds like clouds?

I think it may have been named by the Irish weather people although I could be making that up

Somebody with a clipboard and a masters in storm formation patterns fancies a woman called Clodagh.

I remember ( very vaguely) Clodagh Rogers.
There was an Irish dress designer called Clodagh.
I think she made it big (ger) in the States.
I presume it was the Irish Met service that named this one.
Do the 2 Met Services take it in turns?

A large sycamore has just blown over in the gardens opposite us! Not sure of the damage yet, its fallen across gardens and garages.

All the way thru .the Trollope book I have read it as Clodak.

Sounds like cloudy? Or could be sounds like Blowed a gail?
