OYBBK - cold spell?

lubeybooby · 06/02/2012 13:41

Forecast for my part of the east midlands looks very cold over the next week, from tomorrow with highs of 0c or 1c and lows down to -9 at some points

Is it going to happen?

Do I need to stock up again on fire logs and top up eleventy billion pounds on my gas meter?

It is lubey. Pretty stubborn cold block this one.

EdithWeston · 06/02/2012 14:46

With snow? Or too early to even guess?

OhyouBadBadkitten · 06/02/2012 15:09

snow is on this thread :)
sorry, cant keep up with too many threads at the moment. If this one gets big as well my head will explode Wink

lubeybooby · 06/02/2012 15:47

No snow predicted that I can see on weather.co.uk

Thanks. They have got the temps so wrong over the last few days (predicting -3, actually getting +4) since the snow, I was doubting them.

Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

just a quick check lubey that you arent too close to the coast are you?.... that would modify your temps somewhat.

EdithWeston · 06/02/2012 17:06

Thank you lubey.

I had thought this thread was a new one for the next weeks weather. I can see now how very wrong I was and I'm sorry.

lubeybooby · 06/02/2012 17:40

No I'm between Coventry and Leicester, very landlocked!

The forecast on weather.co.uk is now saying snow (for me) Friday and Saturday though and the temps have come up a bit from -9 to -2. Very odd.

Don't be sorry Edith I should have just tagged this post in with the snow chat! But because at the time it seemed to be plummeting temps I thought i would do a seperate one.

I will retreat back to the snow thread now :o

Thanks again OYBBK Thanks

oh Edith - don't be daft!!!!! it doesnt matter at all, normally I wouldnt be so bossy, but I'm trying to conserve energy atm. Tis always tricky on mn to keep tabs on which thread is which.

Lubey - thanks for the Flowers :)
met office are now saying -4C for you tomorrow night but unless cloud comes in I find that they often under do temp lows quite significantly for non-city locations. So if you are away from large towns you could quite easily see a -7C. There again, sometimes the cloud does come in and scuppers my idea Grin
