As requested by our snow guru OYBBK heres the new thread as the other one is almost full.

And I have no idea why I'm still getting involved as we had no snow <sulks>

Oh no youarekidding. You are deprived.

Couple of inches in SE London, all the way from Bromley into town.

My DS tool one look and told me to shut the curtains. He's not impressed so far.

i had snow! its bout 10 cm deep!!

Thanks for the new thread youarekidding. Snow still here but all slushy and Mr Snowman has melted already.

its starting to melt sad

about 3cm and thawing near guildford. cant get kids interested in going out to play in it sad

It snowed from 11am until about 7 pm here. Lots and lots of snow grin

None, we have freezing fog thoughsad

So where is the snow? I'm near Portsmouth and we are considering driving somewhere (friend and I) for the DC's to have a play in it. Not sure how far south it came and laid.

Basingstoke or Alton probably closest to us with anything meaningful youarekidding

WOOHOO SNOW

thank you very much you are kidding smile

I'd head up the a3 and you'll find it. Would hurry though, tis looking a bit melty already! (which is making dd glum)

Hardly anything worth talking about in SW London.....so disappointing sad

headfairy Sun 05-Feb-12 08:40:52

Still lots here in East Surrey, ds keeps running from window to window shouting "oh wow" as though he's going to find there's no snow outside one of the windows.

15cm here!! Made one snowman already by 8am, off to rec later fora big run round. Only problem is no hills....

teahouse Sun 05-Feb-12 08:46:59

None here - near Portsmouth too; hear Winchester has snow though

ChippyMinton Sun 05-Feb-12 08:47:12

Thawing near Heathrow.
No hills within walking distance here either, but the snow-covered trampoline looks interesting...

Still a full covering in Warwickshire!smile Only a couple of inches but I'm happy with that. When I heard the 'rain' last night I assumed it would all be gone, but I think the rain must have frozen as it fell. Or something.

GloriaSmud Sun 05-Feb-12 08:53:57

Beginning to melt here sad If DDs want to make a snowman, we're going to have to do it quickly!
Just glanced at the BBC forecast and they're saying we might have sleet tonight (think there's another weather front moving west to east.)

Chippy ~ I was LOL at our neighbours trampolines last night, all covered in snow! The safety nets are quite a sight!

Possibly some light wintry showers over night tonight in the east smile
other than that a very quiet week is showing with ice being an issue in the east over night for a few days but nothing else showing at the moment.

dd and dh off out sledging now (rather jealous!) but it will be a race against the thaw.

Only 2cm here, but still here so off out to the park in half an hour to enjoy is before it melts.

It's foggy though.

Outskirts of Brighton - lovely thick layer smile

Veery pleased!!

enjoy it smile

I will be shock if DS2 gets dressed before the snow disappears. hmm

GloriaSmud Sun 05-Feb-12 09:02:54

Ah but OYBBK, as much fun as sledging is, you're the one that can sit in the warm, have a hot brew with those marshmallows and squirty cream you panic bought!
