seem to be losing my touch with the weather (a lot going on) so sorry for belatedness

sis drove over to York from Harrogate and watching lightening all the way. no rain.

Had a short thunderstorm about 30 mins ago but it's gone pretty dark here and thunder's rumbling about. Think we're going to get a real soaking in a minute!

some light rain earlier. dry now. Red sky at night - good sign for tomorrow despite the crappy forecast...

Well that turned into a big fat nothing! Very dark cloud, some flashes of lightning (which looked good against the dark sky), a light rain shower and that was it! There are some quite impressive clouds about still and a misty full moon that looks quite eerie when it's behind the clouds.

jooseyfruit - I always find rainless storms a bit eerie.
Some thundere here a bit ago and torrential rain.

huge flash of lightening about 10 mins ago, still no rain. really warm as well.
