LOL.
DS2 read heat the day he was born.

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 10:02

Ok, am trying to sign back up but, will doing that config thing wreck anything on the computer?? And what about deleting the cookies, we are currently getting cashback from cashback kings, so are using tracking cookies. Will that delete them??? Really have no idea!!

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 10:04

the IP thing won't wreck the computer and I wouldn't think the cookies would either, does the cashback thing work on other computers? Is it an account?

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 10:06

I just had a look on their site, you have to c lick a link and sign in don't you?
That will just redo your cookies so not a problem.
Every time I delete cookies I have to log in to MN again and the cookies are redone.

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 10:09

Do I have to get a new email addy too? I only have 1, and thats dps [sob]!

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 10:13

Yeah, just go to hotmail, takes about ten seconds. Then when you re-register you have to keep refreshing your junk folder.
For some reason hotmail see bounty emails as junk

BLW advice is getting conflicting - when someone's baby choked she was told it wasn't suitable before 6 months now it's being recommended as a way to wean before 26 weeks? We need to keep it consistant or they're going to tear us apart.

I don't know as DS is too young, haven't done all my research yet...

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 10:25

Lol @ 'junk'!!
I would like to know why I was banned!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 07/10/2008 10:28

Am ROFL at "my baby is saying "hiya" @ 12 weeks". FFS!

Someone said to me the other day "my baby can stand already"

I had my face on.

So they tried to prove it. My face was even more .

I wont tell you what they did, coz you'll all go

VeniVidiVickiQV · 07/10/2008 10:34

I should add that the baby is 12 weeks.....

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 10:38

Tell us..!!!!!!

-in advance!

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 07/10/2008 10:41

AFAIK BLW is suitable from the age that they can sit unaided. which is usually around 6 months. Not 100% though but am sure some one else will know.

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 10:56

BLW is suitable before 26 weeks.
As long as your baby can sit relatively unaided, has lost the tongue reflex and is able to pick up their own food.
If you hand your baby food, or prop them up then you aren't doing BLW.

I so desperately want to say on this thread that the mother who lost her child is probably just as pissed off that people are risking their baby's health when she has just lost her baby through no fault of her own. But I shall bite my tongue.

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 07/10/2008 11:36

Who is Sigh then? I give it about ten mins before that thread gets pullled and you become mark3! pmsl @ the advertising thing.

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 11:54

Right, I chickened out of going to the HV yesterday! I have to go on friday, I haven't took him for weeks. But I'm worried now, he is still soooo small, is only just growing out of 0-3 clothes. Hv will spout crap, no doubt, but I will ignore!

The pics of VS' baby and the ones on Aitchs' blog are a lot bigger compared to him. He will be alright to be BLW, won't he? Not yet, (21 weeks), but at 26 weeks? It's just that he is not even rolling over yet. I'm not bothered about that, but I don't think he will be sitting very well by then?

Do I just leave it until he can sit better? Are there babies who aren't ready at 6 months??Am I even making sense!!

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 12:18

great advice from a paed

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 12:19

Which thread shesells?
As for sigh, well, I wonder

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 07/10/2008 12:37

I think it has been pulled or i just can't find it. It was the one where you mentioned you got banned for advsing a poster to try mumsnet and the mused why they allow early weaning threads but not ones offering advise. Hinting that they mave have advertising interests to promote early weaning.

Aitch · 07/10/2008 12:52

that's the good thing, stretchmark. if he's not ready, he won't eat. so you'll have your answer.

put a shout out for vlc, her baby was teensy and funnily enough started to put weight on when she started eating. if i see her i'll point her in your direction.

VictorianSqualor · 07/10/2008 12:57

ah yh, its still there.
Sorry smq just realised I didn't answer you, but aitch has already.
FWIW A is just a big 'un, he was 10 3 at birth.

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 14:05

Wow!! That's a good size! Ds was only 6lb 11oz! I was mainly concerned about him sitting up, but I suppose our highchair is quite supported, (bought for dd2 for weaning at 4 months)

Thank you both. Now It's looming, I'm starting to worry about the finer details. Although, there's not much to worry about is there? To think that I spent hours pureeing and straining for dds

nappyaddict · 07/10/2008 14:27

what annoys me most is that all these dieticians, paeds, gps and hvs are advocating early weaning willy nilly rather than just keeping it for very rare cases where early weaning is less risky than them starving to death. it seems that the lesser qualified people like infant feeding coordinators are actually the better ones to ask if any other health professional suggests early weaning.

Aitch · 07/10/2008 14:28

dd was born 6lb 6 and weaned just fine..

stretchmarkqueen · 07/10/2008 16:14

Sorry, school run!
Aitch, I suppose it doesn't really matter on weight does it? My babies have always been born a bit smaller, then continued to put on practically no weight. Now dd1 is a tall skinny thing, and dd2 is tall, but a lot more padded

I just don't think he will be sitting up at 26 weeks. He seems to enjoy just fine being a baby!! (not that I'm complaining)

Did your DD sit up well when first weaning?

nappyaddict · 07/10/2008 16:44

the person who said her baby choked doing blw at first said she had all the other signs of being ready but she handed her the food (ie not ready), but then said later on she was picking it up herself so who knows.
