Hello Mumsnet Pogoers, I started playing again after a long break and have just sent some of the people with codes on her friend requests, hope that's ok. Got quite excited by the Piplup in the pumpkin hat today!

I am friends with some of you but have never been on this thread before to coordinate lucky eggs.

I have only just realised that to get to level 41 i need to do more than just get 6,000,000 XP. Bugger!

I think I will get my 200 pokemon today but it will be ages before I win 30 raids, having won, erm, none so far.

Anyone know what happens to the XP I gain over 6 mill? Does it get carried over or will I lose it all?

Hello @BalloonSlayer, to answer your question, yes, your XP is carried over. I am currently Level 41 needing 7.5 million XP to hit Mark King level, of which I have 23.2 million.

Also, regarding raids, the I raids seem to be designed to be done by lone players, they're so easy. Of the 3 raids the only ones I don't attempt to solo are Machamp and Tyranitar, all others I can finish with time to spare, you just need to choose critters to suit your opponent.

Hi everyone, I've been playing Pokémon Go a lot more recently after quite a long break (where I reached level 60 in Wizards Unite !) really like how the level cap has been raised now. I got a bit bored once I reached level 40 before. I'm now working towards level 45 . Need 8 million xp ! Trying to beat Giovanni at the moment but really struggling!

Is anyone else having a problem with it today? When I tap on a Pokémon to catch it, it doesn't seem to work. It seems glitchy but nothing else is glitching and it has the number 100 in the bottom right hand corner. Anyone else?

My game isn't glitching today, @JacquelineCarlyle - for once! Try restarting it?

What is the levelling up on Sunday about please? I've seen the community day, and I've bought the research ticket, is it something to do with that?
I'm level 31, don't know how I've managed that as I don't think I'm very good and just like catching cute Pokémon 😊

AnnieMQ I loved getting to best with as she’s not a million miles away from me and I found it proper cool.

You can add friends in Pokémon, and there is different levels of friendship. So good friend is 3000xp up to best friend which is 100,000xp

So people who are interacting daily (sending and opening gifts) to get their friendship level up. If you then use a lucky egg when you get level up, you can get 200000xp from best friends. So a lot of people do it on community day and level up with a few people.

Oh wow, didn't realise there's a whole thread dedicated to Pokémon Go, neat! I know very few adults who play Go, so this is somewhat reassuring to me that this thread exists :)
