Blimey, those last 30 or so posts went quickly! Here's a lovely shiny new thread.

It's the only way I can get the streaks done. Normally I just throw great, excellent or nice throws. As soon as I have a task that needs them my throwing ability disintegrates.

My tip for 'great throws in a row' tasks is to concentrate on it during a community day or spotlight hour so you're catching the same Pokemon over and over and can perfect your technique without having to worry about things like different distances and circle sizes.

I think zigzagoon is probably not ideal for great throws, it scurries around too much; nidoran might be better. (But I still use the aeroplane mode cheat.)

Nanab berries stop them from attacking you.

Ponyta while the even was on were easy shots but now that's over, wailmer and makuhita are abundant.

I’ve also done two more palkia raids. Won both. Caught both. No shiny palkia though

I know you were all there once but I am still at the stage where I can barely figure out how to do a nice throw or a curveball at all! If I get a nice one it is mostly luck so I am massively impressed by the excellent curve balls🙂

Oh it took a lot of balls and a lot of throws. The bigger the Pokémon the easier it was but it was still tough. I’m just glad it wasn’t 3 excellent curve balls in a row because that I would fail

I would say you don’t have to try too hard with the curve balls - the faster you try, the less control you’ll probably have. It might seem odd now, but when it falls into place, it’ll feel more natural than a straight throw.

I'm not getting any Pokémon that are good for great throws at the moment so I'll sit on this for a bit and then give it a go when I'm in a better area!

Got the hang of curveballs finally. Now I have to do three nice ones in a row. It's hard. Any suggestions from you experienced trainers?

These challenges drive me crackers. I need a hoppip. Usually I’m surrounded by them. Can’t walk two steps without one appearing.

I got a Hoppip from the Play With Your Buddy research task, which I picked up five minutes ago from a Pokestop, so that's worth a try.

I saw a Zapdos when I had adventure incense on but the little fucker ran away.
