For the PP who asked how to add people, go to the little circle in the top left corner of your home screen that says "X's page". From there, scroll down to the option on the left that says "add friend", then on the right to the option that says "search with friend code".

DD got this today. She seems to be getting the hang of things, she’s got her tent set up and is catching fish, collecting fruit and other bits and making medicine. What’s next?

Ah, if you pick them you can wear them in your hair or give them as gifts or place them in your house (they would automatically put themselves in a vase). You need to dig them up to be able to plant them. I'm glad you didn't do that as that would have left me with gaps!

When you get a Nook Miles ticket and go visiting a random island, you can dig up flowers that you find there and bring them back.

I have had a few friend requests which I’ve accepted which must be from here so thank you!

Whilst I’m online I’ll go and open my gates so you can visit if you want to.

Once you’ve visited we can post each other stuff which is handy too.

What else is there? I assume oranges and apples? Also realised today that if you eat a fruit or bamboo shoot and get the mega strength you can dig up an entire tree!! Very helpful!

When planting flowers plant them in a grid. Flower. Blank. Flower. Blank etc. Like a checker board.

When they get rained or snowed on new ones spawn in the gaps. Dig them and move them or dig them and sell them.

Don't let yourself end up with a wilderness of flowers. When you shake trees or shoot balloons the bounty will have nowhere to land and will disappear.

I've spent the last 2 days thinning my floral jungle and only managed to clear 1/3 of my island

This game is so addictive! I brought my own switch after playing with my daughters. I think I enjoy it more than she does!

Ahhh, we played this a lot during lockdown last year, it’s so addictive! My youngest DS was main player though and I kept having to log on as him to progress things 😅

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but if you dig up money you can bury it again in the hole and grow a money tree (e.g plant 10k and you’ll get 30 - don’t think you can get more than that).

Oooh good tip about the money tree.

We now have the shop. Im wondering if we still need our child to keep progressing or if it reaches a point where its okay?

I have a wilderness of flowers and it's a PITA, they're just placeholders at the moment.

On that note, I have a bunch of hybrids going free. Tons of black roses, gold roses, some blue somethings (can't remember what they are), some pink somethings. PM me if you want any :)

How do you get a hybrid? Ive just moved my flowers to a grid!

Thanks Paddington, I'd seen this before but it hasn't worked for us hence me asking here. We did manage to get the tool kit thing though so she's left me alone for a while
