Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

Thanks Highbrows! I can only do excellent throws by accident, never when I try. I have two out of fifty so far...

At least it's not fifty excellent curveballs. In a row!

I've decided I clam going to aim for 10 excellent throws per day!

It suggests there is a time limit for the 50 excellent throws challenge.... I really don't think I'll be able to do that many so quickly!!

Is that one after the set of three? I only had to make one excellent throw, does it carry on?

@HappyPunky it is the task once the three are completed. Mines also got a time limit.

One player in our group had completed the 50 excellent throws by mid-afternoon. And he'd been on the early shift so didn't even start until after lunch.

I can do excellent throws but not when I’m asked to - am like that kid who’s only invisible when no one looks at him 😂

@jillandhersprite I can try to catch you after DD is asleep. There is a spot next to me to tell me I'm online but none of my friends ever are but I don't know if I'm missing everyone or if it's not showing up yet.

I had my Pokémon ordered by recent and couldn't be bothered to change to CP!!!
Have all the birthday hats now I think... About to go out to get our dinner from the chip shop and see If I can find a 1 or 2* raid and some big circle Pokémon so I get an excellent throw done!

I've got two excellent throws! One was when my buddy bounced my ball back at a ducklett

I now have three excellent throws, all by accident. Anyone know if any legendary Pokémon might turn up in one or two star raids? If not, I don't think I will be able to complete that Special Task...

Also, Ulruson if you see this in time, I opened your gift and we went Ultra Friends today. If you stick a lucky egg on as soon as you open the game, you should hopefully get the extra XP. Sorry I hadn't realised we were about to level up.

@bellabelly - how far along are you in other research tasks? I'm only about 10 candies away from evolving my magikarp so hopefully that will bring me closer to getting a legendary.

Ooh, will that count? I'm about 110 candies away from evolving my Magikarp, it's taking forever... Might bung it a poffin and go for a LONG walk this afternoon.

Just switched back to a better buddy so I cam mop up the odd excellent throw that way. Almost threw my phone out the window when I saw the challenge! I'm up to 17 without the buddy switch.

Unfortunately a gyarados isn't a legendary Pokémon, so it won't count.
Legendaries appear in the weekly boxes from time to time so if you can't do a 5* raid you can catch one that way.
