Shiny new thread.

Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

@alltheprosecco you dont need to do anything unless you want double XP for becoming ultra friends. If so stick on a lucky egg at 4pm tomorrow and I will trigger it. Means you should get 100,000XP.

@tumpymummy super! Wish I had more time to get out and play at the moment. Have added a few people who've just posted their codes.

@ignatiusjreilly blue halo means your Pokemon has been recently caught.
If you sort by time the mon caught over last day will be blue background but go further back in time and the blue is gone.

I’m really pleased I’ve discovered this thread and all you lovely people! We’ve gone from 0 friends to 18 friends in 24 hours, plus I feel like we know what we’re doing a bit more now.

20 mins in and I'm sick looking at Weedle's

I keep catching weedles in the desperate hope that one of them will turn out to be a Ditto. Otherwise, I would happily ignore them all. Anyone caught a shiny one yet?

Sick of weedles already too and no shinies so far. This is the most boring community day ever. I thought there would be a challenge this time, but obviously not.

Actually, as soon as I typed that, I got a shiny one! Its stats are rubbish but I will keep it. Got a greenish tinge to it, not very different from a regular one.

I have caught three shinies now. Behold my shiny Beedrill!

If you're not level 40, the Weedles are good for XP as you only need 12 to evolve them. On a day when you have 60 Pokemon of any kind to evolve, put on a Lucky egg and you get 60,000 XP for evolving everything.:)

I'm not interested in shinies yet, I know that's unusual.

@ignatiusjreilly et all- I recommend everyone gets a Got-cha evolve to auto catch pokemon and auto-spin stops. As you get stardust for each catch it means you get loads for doing nothing, a bit of XP each catch, and stuff to evolve. www.go-tcha-evolve.co.uk/

My buddy keeps giving me 50 balls!! Argh!!!

HappyPunky, I wish my buddy would. We're tantalisingly close to being great buddies but not quite there. I'm running low on balls too and have reached my daily gift limit. :(

Can I ask how do I get my buddy to battle, I feed him 3 times per day, play etc but I've never got him to battle?
