Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

@tumpymummy If I can figure it out by logging into a desktop would you mind if I messaged you? No it's not good news unfortunately. My husband was using pokemon go to message girls, get their numbers and exchange photos. I can see that he's re downloaded the app onto his phone and I need to know if he's doing the same again.
I know how this sounds. I just need someone with some knowledge who can navigate the app because I don't have a clue.

I don't think it's the app as there's no way to msg - which is why people msg on here or through other places like Facebook, etc.
What he might have done is hidden a different messaging/social media app behind a button that looks like and is called Pokémon go, but is just a way to hide what he is really using...

Thank you. Just gets worse. He has a "friends list" on the app when I looked briefly. So he's not communicating through that?

No, it's not possible to message people on PokémonGo.
The closest you can get is naming your buddy (your pet Pokémon) and other players can see what you've called it. But that's only 16 characters and is visible to everyone on your list.

Glad you got the extra xp @highbrows I hope you did too @feesh. @anon66 there is a friends list in pokemon go. A lot of us on here are friends with each other but you cant communicate with each other which is why we message on here via mumsnet. Do you know DH's pokemon Go name and I can see if I'm friends with him?

@HighBrows I thought we couldn't review stops until level 39 so have been desparately trying to level up on my main, but apparently it's level 38. It's a shame it doesn't really narrow it down to show just local nominations, but if you get the urge you can review stops here wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/review to hope them get added faster.

I just levelled up to lvl 40 on Monday and then the following day (?) the level,for reviewing got brought down to 38! Typical.

I’ve nominated 7 pokestops. 1 reject, 2 accepted, waiting to hear On the other 4.

@JacobReesMogadishu Oh but nominating will be so much more interesting than reviewing. Oooh it's impressive that you got them back so quickly though, and of course you'll get better at doing it. I thought they had a massive backlog and it took ages to get a stop in.

Google tells me it can be quite random how long it takes to hear. A friend who’s been Lvl 40 for ages says he normally hears back in a week. One of mine is in voting stage and I didn’t see that with the others, apparently they can get stuck in that stage for ages.

I’m hoping now Lvl 38 amd 39 can review things speed up.

You can only nominate 7 stops every fortnight which is irritating. I have hundreds I want to do.

Yeah, 30 days I think. I can’t actually be bothered with it anyway to be honest!

We have two pokestops in our community which don’t meet the criteria (you need an access guard to gain entry so they’re not available to the public), and they’re not exactly interesting places (one is the kids’ play park and the other is a decorative fountain that hasn’t worked for about 3 years!). I’m not complaining though! It shows the weaknesses in the process though.

I'm excited for my walk later as there's a brand new pokestop that has appeared. It's a basketball hoop at the local park.

Yeah, the stops can be really random.

I've had some approved within 48 hours and others take weeks. I nominated a historic theatre and it was rejected yet there's postboxes, road signs and all sorts that have been made stops in our city centre. I think they need better reviewing methods.
