I'd give you an extra one so you had both onix & steelix if I could, @dillite! Seems every other Onix I click on is shiny!

I've been so lucky this event, I've got 16 shinies in a week! No idea how I've done it but it makes me only 8 away from my target of 300 shinies by the end of the year.

8 shinies!!!! That's absolutely amazing. I thought I was lucky with my 2 catches in 1 week.

I know it's not a regular community day but the main event does seem to be from 11am to 2pm and so was wondering if the people I'm due to level up with would like to do so at 11am on Saturday?

And Barrlou (apologies for not remembering your user name!) we could go best on Saturday too if you open my gift today and we interact again tomorrow.

@funnelfanjo is there a better time for you? I've been holding out for a CD as I hoped that most people would egg at the beginning like usual, but appreciate that this one is a bit different. I've got a couple of others that I have no means of contacting and hoped this would be a good way making sure everyone got double xp!

@bettytaghetti I honestly can’t commit at the moment with real life stuff going on, so please level up when’s best for you. Now I’m level 40 I’m not so desperate for the extra XP.

@InvisibleWomenMustBeRead I got them from Trainer Battles, Raids, 7 Day Pokestop Rewards and, randomly last week, from spinning a normal Pokestop. I'm not sure there's any rhyme or reason for getting one, I just got lucky.

This one is worth the read as it discusses the moves needed for each Pokémon too.

@MojangSpawnedALlamaInMyBath found a good write-up with detailed tactics, especially good for defeating Giovanni. I'll ask him to look for it. You can swap a Pokémon out, even with a full charge move, and then use it for major damage on Giovanni's Pokémon when you swap it back in once the shields are burned. Sounds confusing but it isn't when you do it!

It's not infallible but does give a good idea of ones to try.
