Been lurking around on the thread..... thought I should say hi!

I've been playing since the start (on and off) but not really got that into it. I'm only level 29 😂
My 6 year old loves to play now so we've been playing together. Gutted as the last couple weeks I've been laid up with a torn cartilage in my knee so haven't been able to get out and about to play. I think the last time we really played was the turtwig community day. I did send hubby out to hatch my 7km eggs and got kangaskhan, Farfetch'd and Tauros.

Also gutted because we did have two spawn spots at our house and now they've gone 🙄

Is anyone else having issues with iOS 13.1 and pogo closing itself?

@Peachy yep the game's constantly shutting down! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Looks like I might be levelling up with lots of you in the next few days but perhaps we could wait until Community Day (12th)? Let me know if you want to coordinegg another time though.

Does anyone know how long the World Tourist Day tasks last for? I had an Aussie egg and hatched it but was unable to trade because the other person didn’t have enough stardust

It should last until you either complete it or delete it from your list of tasks.

@feesh I think we can do it! I have good access to gifts so will keep sending them, don’t worry about returning.

I haven’t noticed a change in spawn points but I can’t usually get anything from my house anyway.

Hope the recent hatches from my Sri Lanka gift eggs came in useful for long distance trades! I only managed to arrange one trade - Torkoal (Sri Lanka) for Heracross (Peru) which was 17k

@nachofries if you already have the field research task, you’ll be fine as Rafals has said it’ll stay until you complete or delete it

Oh my, I just found this post purely by accident and now I have so much reading back to do 😆
I read a lot of MN but never usually post. And I play a ludicrous amount of Pokémon. I just didn’t realise the two would come together 😱 which is silly because a lot of my friends who play are mums who started playing with their kids and still play even though their kids have long since given up (as has mine 😐). I also met my partner playing Pokemon.

Yes they are, the shiny has been released for the safari event in Taipei so they’ll be boosted for a few days.

What's everyone doing with shadow pokemon...? I kinda resent the amount of stardust to purify then when they are often not very strong and not ones I want. But then...medals...

No idea about the shadow Pokemon. All the ones I catch are rubbish. Purified a few, but it’s a bit of a waste of stardust.

I purify the good stuff (obviously) and rattatas. Rattatas only cost 1,000 stardust so seem to be the cheapest option.

I had a lucky trade with Mr40x! Surprisingly I had a Pokémon he wanted. Then I could just order one from him.

For anyone who is new to the thread, Mr40x is a player who is level 40 many times over. Many, many, many times. Enough to have an international ranking. So he's pretty good at PoGo.
