Anyone else noticed that it always takes exactly 3 balls to bag a snorlax, and that fruit only works on the the first throw, which is pointless because you'll only catch it on the 3rd ball?

Yep. I pointed this out earlier to my dp.

Yep, they've set Snorlax so it's a guaranteed catch on the third throw. No point in using any berries or blue/yellow balls. Have you also noticed it's always a green circle regardless of CP. Also, only the third throw counts if you're working towards a streak for a task (eg, five great curves) very bizarre of them to do that.

Bit disappointed with the event tbh. Wasting all those balls (because you always use 3) and not even a shiny chance. It became rather dull after the first day.

Yes! That is exactly how I feel about it! Pointless. And annoying to make 3 Great curves and not have them count. They all have really high CP too.......
DS and I have been trading them but still don't have a lucky either. We're losing interest.

Aha! Chuck them a pineapp only on the last (3rd) ball. Then you get the double candies.

How do I invite a friend to an ex raid? Do they just turn up with me and automatically accepted into the raid?

@Soubriquet Click on the pass in your inventory to open your invitation again. Click on 'Invite Friend' on the fancy notification thing. This will take you to your friends list where you can scroll and choose who you want to invite.
You must do this before the raid starts. There's a cut off 5 minutes before the raid at which point it becomes too late to invite anyone, so don't wait until you get there.
Also, an ex-raid invite automatically counts as a days playing together so will trigger best friends automatically if you're only one day away. You could put an egg on before you send it but the recipient won't have time to put one in when they open the game.

I've got a ex raid invite for tomorrow but I'm at work. I don't have this form of deoxys so that's annoying.
I'm finding the game a bit meh at the moment, just seem to have loads of bidoof everywhere and all the tier 1 raids are drifloon. Can't wait for slakoth day though.

Each Snorlax encounter takes 3 throws but only costs one Pokeball, unless you miss it with one.

The Gotcha always catches Snorlax with one ball.

I was just looking at the boxes and I am seriously peeven off that you no longer get 12 of the fast incubators in the boxes, instead it's 15 normal ones and 5 fast ones. And even more raid passes, I have more than a 100 as it is taking up space in my bag.

You can delete raid passes now dillite.
