Soubriquet I think explaining how the game has evolved is a bit like comparing today's smart phones to the bricks of the '80's! When you think about it, there is so much new stuff since the early days.

With these events where there is increased chance of a shiny version of a Pokemon, are the shinys still available after the event? I didn’t get the buneary and it doesn’t look like I’m going to get a diglett either :(

Yes, just lower chance. I got my shiny rat & machop after their respective events.

They're still available after the event, just go down to a 1 in 450ish chance.

Got shiny Diglett, also hatched a shiny Chikorita which is nice and I missed that community day
