tumpymummy The research breakthrough reward Pokemon aren’t changing; they’re the same for January and February.

So until the 1st March you have a chance of Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Raikou, Entei or Suicune.

Still hoping for a Ho-Oh!

Those palkia are tricky buggers, are they not? Did my first raid today and it ran. Not unusual for me, but it also ran for Mr 40 X 8 and some other trainers.
Did the second raid and again it ran for two level 40s. I'm much slower catching and still had 5 balls but was completely disheartened and was just chucking straight whilst chatting.
And he stayed in.
I don't think I'll bother with another one. I'll spend the rest of the month doing dratini and granbulls with my raid passes. Maybe a togetic.......

Okay. We all know I'm lying and I'll be doing another raid tomorrow. So let's talk teams.
I had my carefully prepared posse, (dragonite, salamence) went into the raid and got recommended Mr.Mimes. As did several other players.
"It's got Draco meteor!" the cry went up. "Get out your fairies!".
Mr 4O X 8 (who actually is lovely and great with the kids) explained that using dragon types would be less effective because the boss would wipe them out with his attack. (One player who stayed with dragon types for the raid confirmed this was true! )
So, I now have 3 saved teams, one for each attack, and they're wildly different. Will it be easy to spot the difference between fire blast and hydro pump so I can switch to the right one? How much does this apply to other raid bosses?
And of course, if there's 12 in the raid, does it matter - no, not really, but I want to know anyway.
