MrsFoxPlus4 I’m a little confused. There aren’t rounds; you just both have three Pokemon and when all three have fainted from one team the battle ends and the other is the winner.

Unless of course you mean after you defeated his first Pokemon he would quit?

Because if it was the entire battle he lost, or course you want to select a different, better team for the next battle, and you haven’t lost out as you won and received your reward.

But of course that isn’t applicable if you just mean he quits after you defeat his first Pokemon.

Has anyone else noticed that if you leave a Pokémon in a gym a long way away (150 miles), when you visit it to top up with berries it’s all shimmery and your avatar breaks up?

First time it happened I thought it was a gym or game issue, but now it’s happened again I presume it’s a feature.

Yes, Fanjo, I’ve left a few in gyms this weekend while away. They are shimmery. I didn’t know if it was some sort of glitch.

WitchSharkadder I’m personally not having issues. It’s possible Niantic updated the map again and removed some gyms/stops.

It isn’t a map update, Wailmer. Sorry, I wasn’t at all clear in my post, I was rushing to an appointment and babbled.

The stops and gyms are there, they just don’t show for me until I’m literally right on top of them. My DCs accounts are all still working fine and normally, I just can’t see anything more than a few meters away from me, which is annoying. Mons are still spawning as they would have done.

I’ve tried rebooting, reinstalling etc. I guess I’ll just have to live with it until the next update. Hmph.

WitchSharkadder the latest update has reduced the number of visible gyms to less than before the recent increase for most people. It's really frustrating.
Prior to the increase I could see 11 gyms; with the increase I could see an extra 3 (including an ex gym, which was really handy!). I can now only see 6 (although sometimes my avatar goes for a bit of a wander and a couple of others pop up ).
Someone in our group suggested that it might be to do with all the extra data required. However, it's made it so much harder this weekend to spot raids to head out for.
I'm not happy!

A very interesting programme on Radio 4 this morning about data, social manipulation, targetted advertising, digital tracking etc. Pokemon was discussed specifically, the next wave of marketing. Big money companies pay into the developer for involvement. How it works is that your footfall is actively driven towards say Mc Donalds of tyre company. You are also tracked. Big brother is here. In free social media like Facebook, we are not the customers we are the product, esp our data. The advertisers are the customers
