Shiny new thread starts here. Will it be the last one of 2018?

I finally hatched an aerodactyl today - I've been playing since day 1 & am level 37 & never had a sniff before today! Very pleased! Finally!

The egg pool changes continually so they’ve not always been in it, and it would be exceptionally rare to see one in the wild. So unless you raided them when they were raid bosses or sought out the research quests when they were rewards they’re very hard to come by.

That's @WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue I'm not big into raids so guess that's why but happy finally!

@oldowlgirl Do you have a poke in an error gym?
There's two here and they're causing all kinds of problems. Apparently it's pretty wide spread. Some people can't log in at all, others can still play as normal.
Anyone who clicks on the gyms has to reload the game as it crashes.
One of the gyms is in the town centre, dead opposite the ex-raid gym, so was always a show-off stop which changed hands regularly. It's full of shinies, which have all been stuck for over two weeks. Niantic are aware but so far it's not been sorted.
DS and I have only been leaving weedles and random catches just in case it happens anywhere else.

tumpymummy Yes, that’s right. From 10am to 1pm all PokeStops will reward Feebas as the encounter for completing the quests and you have the possibility of a shiny.

Remember though, you can only complete one research per stop a day, so don’t keep or complete any research quests from PokeStops you spin before the event starts! That is crucial!

It is unclear whether this event will work like the Squirtle one, where if a Squirtle from a stop was shiny it was shiny for everyone who completed a reward from that stop, or if they are independent as usual.

If it is the former, you will need to communicate with other trainers in your area to find the shiny Feebas stops! If not it’s just complete as many as you can

TallulahBetty No, there will be no increased Feebas spawns; it’s not a community day.

It’s a research day, so the goal is to get out and about to spin as many PokeStops as possible.

I was TT (we missed egging last Saturday) and will hopefully have an egg on at 10.00am this morning so let's exchange gifts then.

CaelaCoo - not sure of your pokemon name, we are also due to go Ultra on the next interaction so if you want to double up the XP I'll be trying to trigger it during the 30 mins of lucky egg from just before 10.00am.

Not sure if Catchygem is a MN'er or not but will be triggering Ultra friends with them too at just after 10.00am.

My reward for completing my research today!

I now have two moltres, two zapdos, and a ho ho. I was hoping today’s would be lugia but no luck
