@ContraryToPopularBelief if you're happy with that, I'll open your gift along with the others just after 10am on Saturday. Don't forget the hour's difference if you're still in Spain! I had a couple of CD's abroad last year and was all over the place trying to work out who was opening what, when! (Getting old you see!)

pottypotamus The in game news features are very poor; I would never rely on them for up to date, accurate news. They rarely announce anything we don’t already know anyway!

They also never mention there will be a shiny, but there always is on community day. Data miners find the shinies in the game files ahead of time.

We're getting shiny feebas day/hour thing

Would someone please explain in simple English about data miners and whatever it was that Gremlins just said about the shiny feebas. Especially as I'm 6km away from my milotic but it's not to late to walk another 20 with a shiny fish!

BaronessBomburst Data miners are just players who look through the in game files to see content that is yet to be released. So they can rip sprites of Pokemon out of the files so we know what they’ll look like, and let us know of upcoming changes, features and events.

For example, I’ve attached the sprites a well known miner (Chrales) has found of shiny Feebas.

Re: Feebas we are getting a 3 hour event with limited research that gives you the possibility to catch shiny Feebas through PokeStop research. It’s on the 19th January 10am to 1pm.

Has anyone got a tip for getting the star piece needed to evolve several pokemon? I need about 12 and I get every thing else except this star type piece. (The one that will evolve sneazal)
