And a question... where can I get more snorlax candy? I've never ever seen one pop up to get any!!

@Squidgee Welcome to the thread! For Snorlax candy, you have two options outside of catching wild. The first is to set your Snorlax as your buddy, which will net you a candy for every 5km you walk with them (I think it's 5km for Snorlax - the distance varies by Pokemon). The other, potentially more lucrative but less predictable method is to raid bosses at gyms which can yield varying amounts of rare candy on completion, which can then be transferred into Snorlax candy (although arguably rare candy is best left for upgrading Legendaries only, but if you don't have any then just ignore that). Snorlax also used to be a potential Encounter for a major Research breakthrough (i.e. 7 research task badges) but since the rotation to Raikou encounters, I'm not sure if that remains the case. If you get one this way, always drop a Pinap berry on them for double candy as they have a 0% flee rate. HTH

I got my snorlax for the first round of stamps, Raikou for the second.. working on my third now! :)

Got Evee at my buddy right now as the kids want an Umbreon and Vaporeon so need the candy to evolve them both!

With the upcoming community days, you should have no problem getting loads of Evee candies.

That's what i'm hoping.. once I've got them off my back I can go back to trying to get Raikou and Snorlax levelled up!

On Thursday I had no work so went out just after 10am to wander about and 'Mon. For the 1st time in about 3 months I had to wear a jacket. Good job too, as it started to rain around midday. It was just a fine drizzle at first, then around 3pm it escalated. By 4pm when I decided to head back to my car it was torrential and I was soaked through. It felt great to just be walking in the rain, the town park was empty and the grass was already turning from brown to green. I loved it.

Catches were mostly vermin, but a wild Beldum was a highlight, as were two Ralts, all of which were fed Pinapps.

I'm seeing some friends later for Eevee Day, I'm so looking forward to it.

Squidgee You can get Snorlax in 10km eggs or wild, though they are extremely rare in the wild.

You can no longer get Snorlax from the research reward; Snorlax was July’s reward Pokemon and Raikou is August’s. When September comes it will change again.

I would strongly advise against powering up Snorlax. It would be a waste of stardust and candy (especially a waste of rare candy!). You should never use them in battle as they’re defence Pokemon, and even powered up Snorlax are no trouble when battling a gym.

I would say the only circumstance in which Snorlax could be powered up is if you have excess candy, excess stardust and you’ve already powered up all your strong attack Pokemon. Even then I’d make sure the Snorlax was 90%+ IVs.

OrianaBanana It’s doubtful; we’ve only just had a major raid boss reshuffle. One or two may change, but unlikely any more. Even with a major reshuffle not all the raid bosses change.

Hope everyone had a good Eevee day! I went to a park and there must have been hundreds of us it was mad I barely ever see any other players. They had even made badges and pokeball biscuits to sell for charity.
I managed to get 5 shiny ones but I’m scared to evolve them as I don’t want the same ones twice. I might save two for when we get leafeon and the other one.

The pattern of the past few days (save a few windy or rainy blips) has continued and we've had partly cloudy weather, today, which has been perfect. Tomorrow isn't promising for either catching or walking, mind.

I got two shiney Evee and about 100 non shiney ones!

I had the opposite experience, I was really lucky today, played for about an hour in snatched time between appointments and managed to get 6 shinies so they seemed way more common than previously for me. Probably tomorrow I will get none now!

I got 4 shinies which I’m happy with. I was thinking it’d have been nice to have more but I forgot it’s a 2 day event!

Eevees are fairly common for me so I already had loads of candy, I want a shiny Espeon! It’s disappointing when shinies aren’t totally different - like how shiny Larvitar is bright green but shiny Tyranitar is fairly boring.

I need to get a few more tomorrow to get a jolteon plus a few spares would be nice.

4 Shineys today, but not great IVs. Hoping that I might get another stab at it tomorrow, and possibly even a non-Shiney hundo.

In pursuit of shiny umbreon with novelty move, I've just been for a 4km walk, on top of all the walking I'd already done today. Just need another 5.2km so I can evolve it tomorrow evening. My feet hate me, already.
