It’s much better isn’t it Mrs Jamin? Can’t remember who made the tip but I’m pretty good at nice and good ones now. Couldn’t master the tips from the YouTube tutorials at all.

It took me a long time to get Snorlax too, but I was lucky and found a Lapras just hanging out one day in my local high street After that they went into raids so I got some good ones, but I appreciated the initial Dex entry.

I have completed all Gen I, II and III bar regionals not yet released in the UK and Pokemon not yet released in the game.

I’ve seen the occasional Lapras shadow but they’ve always been far away so I knew they’d disappear before I got there! Saw a Snorlax shadow once but it was late at night in the middle of a park so didn’t fancy going to get it.

I know there’s local Discord and FB groups, just need to join!

I put a ‘mon in a gym in a supermarket earlier and it had been kicked out before I’d finished a 20 minute shop. 😡 thankfully there’s some quiet gyms on my usual bus route where they last a bit longer.

Has anyone ever had a Pokemon that poke genie says no such combination found when you try to put in the appraisal? One of the first alolan exeggutors that I caught supposedly has a simply amazes/defence/blown away appraisal but poke genie won't accept it.
Ps. No shinies for me this week either . Was on my holibobs in Spain and really hoped to get a green bogey that I was going to call Seve (Ballesteros)! V disappointed! Made up for it by eating my (not inconsiderable) body weight in patatas bravas...

I'm quite excited that I'm in London tomorrow and Tuesday and will take some long bus routes past new stops. II've been level 34 for a very long time and so would be nice to level up.

This event has appealed to my need to obliterate white rings! Took a new bus route with the boys, yesterday, and hit quite a few. Took just ds2 out to the botanic gardens and nailed a few you can't reach without paying, today (ds1 was grounded).

Taking him to Northumberlandia, tomorrow, though. She's magnificent and covered in pokestops and I think at least one of her boobs is a gym.

bettytaghetti That’s only ever happened to me when I’ve put the incorrect appraisal in.

Yeah. Check it's detected the correct Pokémon type eg kadabra vs alakazam.

Woohoo! Got a 100% Kabuto from a quest!

This event has been good to me so far; a shiny Omanyte and now this Just hope to catch a shiny Kabuto now...

WhatToDo all details were correct, but spoke to someone at a raid this morning who said that Pokegenie had been updated, so I deleted and tried again and it's now accepting it, although at only 84% it really wasn't worth the effort!
In other news though, I caught this shiny beauty this morning and at 93%, I'm very chuffed!

@throwawayagain I just wanted to say a big thank you for pointing out the extra points for spinning new stops! I have really managed to capitalise on that, thanks to a vintage touristy train on holiday, that also went slowly enough to walk eggs!! Have told a couple of more seasoned players that I met at raids that didn't know about it too.

Sadly no shiny kabuto or omanyte yet. Didn’t get any shinies during the fighting event either, despite being on holiday and catching loads.

I’m unimpressed with the latest nest migration. My closest poke stop is now spawning zubats...

My nest went from Venonat to Exeggcute- much better!

I've got 2 shiny Kabuto now. Need shiny Aerodactyl, shiny Omanyte and shiny Ho-oh from this event.

I went for a walk in absolutely the back end of nowhere today. (Abandoned medieval village and salt marshes) there were three empty gyms, never come across that before. I put some low grade Mon in two but left the third. May never see them again.

Once a shiny is released into the game, they are then available to catch and hatch as shiny; they’re just rarer as they’re not spawning as much.

(Exceptions are shiny Legendaries obviously, as once they’re gone from raid battles that’s it unless they bring them back again.)

Today I caught nearly 200 omanites and abuts and not a single shiny. I want a shiny green kabutops! It's not faaaaair.

On the bright side- I am finally level 35! At this rate I should be level 40 by 2099.

Omanytes and Kabutos pretty much never spawned for me outside of the Kanto event and this one - only had them from egg hatches.

I'm enjoying the reduced buddy distance - I had a time when I got lots of Ralts from eggs but not had any in ages so I've been walking my Kirlia. Only 10 more candies needed, started off with only 30 before the event!

Any idea when the next quests will be?

I went for a very long bus ride last night on a new route (Shoreditch - Holland Park in London) and spun so many new stops with a lucky egg on. I made nearly 400,000 XP by the end of the evening! Getting ever closer to level 40... Still no shiny Omanyte, Kabuto or Aerodactyl, but I did get a 100 IV Kabuto from a quest.

Any idea when the next quests will be?

Ralts isn't in eggs anymore. No idea why, I love them and am very annoyed!

VickieCherry The theory behind Ralts being removed is that they’re deliberately decreasing their availability as they want to make it the new Tier 4 Raid Boss.

When the Larvitar community day is over, few people will be interested in doing Tyrannitar raids and Tyrannitar has been a raid boss since June last year, so it’s time for a change. So the theory is that Gardevoir will be the new Tier 4 Raid Boss.

I catch a few ralts each week. It's not the rarest of Pokémon. Not as common as mudkip, mind!

Our nearest nests are now magmar, scyther and Onix!

Today's white ring obliteration was aborted early because ds1 had a humdinger of a meltdown. Ended up trailing along a grass verge by a dual carriageway, picking up pieces of trashed power pack and standing inside a hot bus stop in the middle of nowhere for half an hour because I could feel myself getting sunburn, despite the cloud, while I was desperate for a piss. A true FML moment :(

@Wailmer - sorry I meant the special ones, where we got Mew. Glad to hear that Ralts/evolutions will be a raid boss, my walking hasn't been useless! Unlike walking my Kabuto then the Kanto event happened....

@PickAChew - we should swap, here's always the occasional Mudkip at a park near me. Had a Scyther next for a while but nothing more interesting since. Sorry to hear about your holiday disaster.
