Here we go with a shiny new thread.

It's not late into the night that people don't like, just the 45-60 min before midnight. The general feeling is that if you are going to do it at that time of night, it is more considerate to wait until midnight.

I meant that they start at about 11pm and go round town battling gyms. If you’re in one gym you’re probably in at least another, and by that time you’ve probably been in long enough anyway.

I don’t see a problem with it 🤷‍♀️ It’s Team Instinct that do it here anyway as they’re all night owls

Also I don’t consider that “aggressive” playing It’s just playing when you’ve got time.

Well I kicked them all out at 6am this morning. Guess they were asleep.

Now I’m on the excellent curveball challenge....I can’t even throw a curveball never mind an excellent one.

Is the Mareep challenge on for the whole day today? Am hoping to be able to evolve my Flaafy without walking hundreds of km!

It’s usually just for 3 hours Elmers.

Have just managed to get enough xp to get to level 30. Which is well timed for the 3 extra incubators that’s just given me. Would be nice if it stopped raining.

When do mareep begin to arrive today?

I've just caught my first mareep from the sofa so they're around now.

10am. Although it’s a sheep free zone round here at the moment. I can see them on my nearest Pokémon list but everything but mareep is popping up in my house.

My first ever shiny quick walk to the park and I had enough to evolve from mareep

Nice shiny. DH caught a shiny straight away but I have yet to see one. His eggs are also registering the 4x distance and mine are not so I’m not too happy!!!!

A fresh egg Iv just put on has .25 distance but the ones I already had on are still full distance

Same here. Which is very frustrating. I had 6 empty incubators and put things in them just before the event.

Does anyone know if other types of shinies are more common during events? There are flocks and flocks of Mareeps about and I got a shiny hanging out in Asda's carpark.

Then my next catch was a Dratini - and it was a shiny too!

I got a shiny! It's only 47% but I still evolved it all the way as I got enough candy for 3 amphoros. I missed the window for evolving a dragon pulse though. But nevermind, I have my shitty dragon pulse amphoros instead.

Hello all, hope it's okay to join in! I was playing Pokemon go back in 2016 and it fell by the way side. I just logged into my account again and I am level 22 trainer, team yellow. Read through tips on here and have about 5 Pokemon with 90+ IV.

I didnt, however, save stardust and candies etc until I was level 20. I don't want to start from scratch so will just carry on. I have three eggs that have been incubating since Aug 2016! One hatched last night, aerodactyl but with poor IV.

Managed to get three shinies so I'll have one of each stage 😊

Didn’t get a shiny. Did get a 98% mareep and hatched a 98% feebas from an egg I’ve had for ages so it has been quite a day.

Finally got my onix. It’s level 7 and it’s IV is in the low 20s, but you can’t have everything.

Had a good day today - caught tons of Mareep, including three shinies and now have 4 Ampharos. Also, due to the Kantor event this week, I've managed to almost complete gen 1, just missing Lapras, MewTwo, Mew, Articuno, Zapdos, Kanga and Tauros. Had an EX pass again but again missed MewTwo 😞

When the special task rewards change, I'd like to see them rotating the regionals in to give us a chance to get them.

Yes I put all my 10k eggs incubators last night ready but apparently it only works if you start them during the event.

Very annoying.

Just IV checked my many Mareep and I have a 100%!!! So happy, finally going to get my perfect Amphy

I got 6 shiny Mareep during the event so I’m very happy Especially as I only had an hour to do the event before work; I was worried I wouldn’t get any!

Got my 10km eggs down to 1.7km distance so that was amazing! No great IVs but good for candies.

In the end I evolved three Mareeps fully to Ampharos (one shiny) and a shiny Mareep to Flaaffy. Still have 457 Mareep candy.
