Argh!! It's taken me all week to do this 10 raid challenge, between work/battery dying/only catching the end of raids.... settle myself down in a car park with 3 left as a snorlax raid starts, get to my 9th raid and a load of people turn up and join me 🙈 so I won, unintentionally, even though I was waiting in the lobby not actively taking part!! Now I need to find another raid 😤😤

It's raining here today and I have a house full of children, I want to catch Pokemon but can't! Any point using an incense when sat at home??

Thanks PickAChew. Finally got my ditto after catching around 15 gastlys - they are slippery little buggers! Now for ten raids which will take a while to get raid passes for etc.

No point in incense at home. Doesn’t work well if your not walking. You end up with about 3 or 4 Pokemon appearing. Only worth it if you have loads and just want to catch one pokemon for you 7 day catching streak

Any point using an incense when sat at home??

CollyWombles You can do, but it’s recommended not to as it’s a bit of a waste.

The way that incense works is that a Pokemon appears every 5 minutes OR every 200m whichever is first. So if you're stationary you will only get a Pokemon every 5 mins, usually only 5 in the 30 mins.

If you are moving though you will get significantly more.

I have used incense at home before when I've been bored as I tend to accumulate incense and not use them.

I used incense at home when I was desperate for ghosts. I had plenty to spare.

@Efferlunt you don't need ten raid passes, go into a raid and start, make a couple of attacks against the raid boss then exit the raid, stay in the lobby until the timer runs out and it counts as one, you can then go straight back in and start again until you have done enough or the raid ends

Mine too - turned up whilst I was sat at my desk in work! Got my first Gary for the research; I find loads of karps in my area and feeding them pineapps really helped boost through the candies.

I need an excellent curve ball throw and some more mons to feed berries to and catch now. Have the region bit already. I've thrown a couple of great curveballs but can't quite get that little bit better!

Has anyone done a second round of field research yet? I'm dying to find out what it is this time 🙈 Moltres was a nice surprise

Ah thanks afresh I saw people posting about that but didn’t quite get what they meant. It means I could be through this stage today!

@Efferlunt you can usually get 9 raids done on one Raid Boss is you are there at eggs hatch. BUT be prepared that it is very boring and will take you the whole 45mins so i suggest finding a raid where you know there is seating, shelter and preferably indoors.

Also If you pick a level 1, or 2, (or a 3 if you are competent/confident) then don't forget to actually beat the boss on your last attempt.

I did two weeks of stamps and now have...two Moltres Perhaps they’ll change them monthly?

People in our raid group were saying they've now fixed the raid thing and you actually have to do the 10 raids, though not sure how accurate that is.

@afreshnewname it's been confirmed as still being Moltres.

@Wartortle That was passed around generally a day or two ago, I think someone said ti on the Silph Road or something and so people just accepted it, but actually people in my area have been using it the whole time and still are today.

Do you get anything special if you evolve a shiny magickarp? It's only 66 cp or should I just evolve a regular 170 one?
