One more and can finally bloody evolve it at last!

Mankey and do duo would be very welcome round here. I’ve seen magikarp spawning in lots more places at the moment and I’ve caught a couple of dittos so think they must be increasing these for the quest.

I'm liking the more frequent Magikarp. I'm still on the search for a shiney, and I need to build my candy back up after using most of it for the Mew quest. :-) And of course I need to work on my big Magikarp medal as well.

Just dipping my toe in here as I’ve been playing for a month or so (joined 08/03/18) and am still learning. I’m a little off level 27 and I think I joined at just the right time wth the quests coming in and all the good community days Niantic are putting out

And I just caught my first Pikachu, turned up at my house 2 minutes ago

I don’t know that I understand the Ex Raids yet. I’ve done solo raids up to level 3 but I don’t quite get what the ex raids are about. I haven’t done any group raids yet. I’m lucky that I joined when I did so have a legendary without winning any raids and working towards my second. Is there a beginner’s guide to ex raids anywhere?
I have one solitary, shiny Swablu that popped up whilst I was sat at my desk in work. I’m overly proud of him

ChiefClerkDrumknott Welcome! At the minute, ex-raids only feature Mewtwo; one of the most sought after Pokemon in Pokemon history.

Ex-raid passes are easier to get now than they used to be, but they are still very hard. You have to raid an ex-raid gym (and if you’re new to the game and not in a local raid group chances are you don’t know your local ex-raid gyms) and you have to raid it in a specific time point in order to have a chance of getting a pass, as even doing that won’t guarantee it.

The more raids you do everywhere increases your chances too, as does being gold on the ex-raid gym.

But the process of figuring out the ex-raid gyms and when passes are going to drop so you know exactly when to raid in order to be considered is complex and usually figured out by a raid group rather than an individual.

Your best chance is to find and join your local raid group as they’ll likely have all the info you need for your area.

WhatToDo Thanks, that's really helpful although sounds complicated! I'll keep bumbling along on my own for the moment, I think, still trying to get to grips with it. I did manage to level up on my walk to work this morning.

According to My fb group gen 1 pokemon that Evo in gen 4 are - Magnemite, Lickitung, Rhyhorn, Tangela, Electabuzz, Magmar, Eevee x2, and Porygon. Also murcrow have been mentioned on here.

Thanks Efferlunt I must admit I downloaded it on the off chance I'd like the game as I was bored with all the others I had. I also thought it would be motivation to get out and about, especially during lunch breaks when otherwise the temptation is to sit at my desk browsing Mumsnet I'm lucky that I work in a city with lots of Pokestops and Gyms, get the train in then a short walk to work so can play then and am usually able to take at least a short walk around the block at lunchtime. I also live somewhere that has a castle with a moat and a park next to it so there's Gyms there too. I don't know if it's because it's a bit of an usual location but I can usually something interesting lurking around there

ChiefClerkDrumknott If it helps, a lot of ex-raid gyms are in parks (although what Pokemon Go classes as parks is somewhat different to actual parks!)

I keep struggling to keep enough stock of balls. Easter interfered with my coinage from gyms and poke stop loops.

Luckily there are plenty of ponyta about, murinae. I did 3 excellent straight throws in a row on one, this afternoon. Sadly I was only doing the one excellent throw task!
