Agreed. But even so it's a very heavy stat.

WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue · 16/03/2018 22:36

Well no, it’s not a statistic at all; it’s just anecdotal evidence.

If it were the case that shiny Lugia did have a 100% catch rate then that would be brilliant, but I can’t see that being likely.

Murinae · 16/03/2018 22:39

I still only have one single solitary shiny shuppet. I’m sure it would like a shiny lugia friend. Not very likely though. I’m still waiting for a shiny magicarp!

Murinae · 16/03/2018 22:39

I didn’t even get a shiny dratini on community day. I just got a parking ticket Blush

WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue · 16/03/2018 22:41

Murinae I have caught hundreds of Shuppets (one has a permanent base outside my house!) but still no shiny one, yet the 25th Swablu I caught was shiny (Altaria is one of my favourite Pokemon ever though so I was quite happy with that).

Eggzandbacon · 17/03/2018 09:22

Shiney in my house!

Eggzandbacon Nice! It looks suitably cold for this weatherGrin

Wartortle88 · 17/03/2018 09:42

The overwhelming consensus on the Silph Road reddit seems to be that it is a 100% catch rate for shiny lugia at the moment, which is a really nice bonus!

WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue · 17/03/2018 09:43

If it is then that would be fantastic Smile

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 17/03/2018 09:53

Caught my shiny Lugia Grin First ball theory seems to be true. Missed out on weather boost by minutes but very happy Grin

Wartortle88 · 17/03/2018 12:10

Congratulations Jaime! I did my first Lugia of this round before but no shinies in my group unfortunately

CaeciliusIstInAtrium · 17/03/2018 14:44

I caught a Lugia today. Did two raids but the first one did a runner. No shiny but happy to have it for the Dex

Wartortle88 · 17/03/2018 17:55

Got this, which is nice even if not shiny

EekBarbaraitsaDalek · 17/03/2018 19:48

I caught this today with the first ball and I’m rubbish at throwing so the 100% thing may well be true.

Murinae · 17/03/2018 20:34

I did a few lugia raids today but didn’t manage to catch a shiny

tumpymummy · 18/03/2018 11:20

Hooray! We have snow again and I managed to catch a snowy castform. Thought I'd missed my chance as I didn't get one last time.

CrabbitArse · 18/03/2018 14:37

How many people are you all needing for a Lugia raid? I've read 5-15 so quite a big variation & my local team is pretty small so not sure if it's even worth trying

Wartortle88 · 18/03/2018 15:30

We did it comfortably weatherboosted with 8, though all were into second set of pokemon.

If all were high ish levels with powered up pokemon 5 would be possible but I think 7/8 is more realistic.

CrabbitArse · 18/03/2018 15:42

Thanks Wartortle, on a good day then we might stand a chance, think the most we've managed to get together for a raid has been 8.

WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue · 18/03/2018 16:59

So far no shiny Lugia for me, and none have been higher than the 89% I have from last summer, but I’ll keep going Grin

CrabbitArse It will depend on the levels of those in the group and whether they have good counters.

PikachuHeadgear · 18/03/2018 18:15

We did a Lugia comfortably with 7 level 35 or above accounts this morning; I think 6 would have been fine. It wasn't weather boosted though.

Rumours of a water event with new Pokemon

soupforbrains · 19/03/2018 10:55

I can't open that link because I'm at work but I assume by 'new gen 3 water pokemon' they can only mean Clampearl and it's two evolutions(Huntail and Gorebyss)? There aren't any other unreleased gen 3 waters.

PikachuHeadgear · 19/03/2018 11:04

Perhaps we might get Relicanth here for the event period? Like they did with Kanaskhan.

PikachuHeadgear · 19/03/2018 11:05

Sorry, missed out the "g" there.

Is there a water legendary they could bring in as raid boss for it?
