Very jealous! Our town is once again targeting gyms in the hopes of instigating an ex-raid.

Have you still only had the one invite, Whattodo? It seems the latest raid shake up has helped the most active players where I am, so fingers crossed for you!

I had a mixed day today. 7 of us raided Rayquaza and I was the only one to catch it, then 5 minutes later I hatched a perfect Totodile. We did 3 further Rayquaza raids and everybody bar me and one other caught at least one. I quite enjoyed myself, plus I;ve got 3x 10km eggs cooking. Hopefully they're something good, not sodding Porygons...

wartortle Thanks! And unfortunately yes. We’ve only had two ex-raids in our town, one in the beta phase last October and the one today, but the one today the only people who got passes were new or casual players, and quite a few from neighbouring towns.

So the active, dedicated players in our town haven’t actually got anything since the one many months ago.

Murinae Rayquaza’s a good Pokemon to have 100% on too; he’s a great attacker and the best dragon type in game, above Dragonite and Salamence.

Its best moveset is Dragon Tail/Outrage, so if you have a fast TM, I’d use it to switch your Air Slash to Dragon Tail

(I’m also just 3,000 stardust under 1 million! I wasn’t aiming for it, it just grew while I was waiting for the best possible Pokemon to power up )

Even the regular castform spawn in my house was yet another normal one. It's below freezing outside, ffs!

I am very much liking my holiday Pokemon-ing. There are three gyms in the village, and there appears to be a gentleman's agreement that each team has one. I put a Blissey in the blue gym yesterday, then promptly took down the yellow gym just across the road. Someone had a Pokemon back in the yellow gym within 5 minutes, but hasn't touched the blue one.

It's all very civilised.

I had a very weird gym experience today. My nearest one - usually each team has it for a while then swap over. I was just trying to take it down - lots of dying mons that had been in there for 2 days. Then someone nearby was obviously feeding it berries (but I couldn't see them) whilst I was attacking it, as everything kept going up to full power. This went on for about 45 minutes as I'm rather stubborn. Then it got too cold and I gave up. Weird though...surely you need to be knocked out to get coins. Also the weird feeling of being watched by someone somewhere....

KadabrasSpoon They don’t need to be nearby to feed their Pokemon berries; you can do it remotely wherever you are.

It’s not all about coins; they’re probably trying to get gold on the gym and a good way to do that is to stay in there as long as possible.

I remote berry Pokemon I have in gyms that I’m trying to get gold on all the time.

Gosh, levelling up is bittersweet.

Just levelled up to 33 and am now 1166 out of 1,000,000. Going to take a while...

Yeah, I hit Level 34 a couple of days ago and I have to get 1,250,000 to get to Level 35!

I think they were near as they could completely power up every month very quickly. When I remote berry feed it only powers them up a tiny bit. This was about ten times and over 45 mins!
I recognised the user names and I'd be very suprised if that player (been level 40 for ages) hasn't got that gym gold. Even I've got it gold and we tend to swap over each day.

Anyway I don't want to argue on a pokemon thread. I definitely had that weird feeling of being watched.

KadabrasSpoon Yeah, if you use a regular razz it only powers them up a little bit remotely, but if you Golden razz it does it all the way with one berry, allowing you to berry all six Pokemon quickly and repeatedly.

Were all players in the gym Level 40? Because it could have been any of them.

But only you were there and if you felt watched then you felt watched! I’m not trying to start an argument I was just pointing out you can easily and quickly berry them up repeatedly with a golden razz from anywhere.

Oh right. Well if they are that desperate to stay in they can stay in another day too cold for me!

I’ve had a successful day today; 3 Beldums (though sadly ran out of pinaps by the time I got to them), 3 Anoriths and I’ve finally gone over 1 million stardust!

So now I can continue with power everything up, starting with Groudon and Kyogre.

Until today, the only place I'd even seen an anorith was the spawn point right in my house (it's awesome - gives me a regular supply of mudkip!) but it's been partly cloudy, today, and they've been everywhere.

Up to almost 500 swablu candy and I've got to the point of checking them then only bothering to catch low cp ones, as my bag is getting a little light but, alas, no shiny, yet. Also a good way towards a second aggron.

It's hard to do much outside with a cost refusing autistic child so we're taking a trip on a pokestop heavy us route, tomorrow, hoping to restock and make the most of the final day of this particular event. I'm still in need of a good quality Surskit to evolve. Mine are all a bit rubbish.

I had a bit of a raid run this evening and did three. One Aggron on a known ex gym, one Rayquaza and one Kyogre. Also caught a hundred iv zigzazoon. I’ve hardly caught any of the new Pokemon as I couldn’t do any this weekend and was working all day today and it was freezing this evening.
