I'm another who got a rural raid pass although I only do L1,2&3 raids because I'm almost always alone when I play so I'm over the moon & definitely going. A brief google suggests I have none of the Pokemon with the right movesets for Mewtwo but I do have 4 TMs for the big move & 7 for the quick move. Can anyone recommend the best site I can go on to see which mons I would be best to use them on? This is undoubtedly going to be my only chance for a big raid & I really want to make the most of it

Have caught about a million taillows so far, but not much else that’s new.

It rained where we were for a bit and we ended up overrun with these.

CrabbitArse You don’t need to worry too much about having the best movesets for Mewtwo, because there will be a lot of other people there at the raid and you should take it down easy.

I would advise caution if changing your Pokemon’s movesets to fit with Mewtwo as you only have a few TMs. Mewtwo is a psychic Pokemon, and there aren’t a lot of psychic raid bosses or good psychic Pokemon in general.

So if you changed the movesets they’d really only be applicable to Mewtwo (who you might only ever fight once) and a couple of other Pokemon.

However, the best Pokemon and their movesets for fighting Mewtwo are:

Tyrannitar: Bite/Rock Throw
Houndoom: Snarl/Foul Play
Gyarados: Bite/Crunch
Dragonite: Dragon Tail/Outrage
Scizor: Fury Cutter/X-Scissor
Pinsir: Fury Cutter/X-Scissor

Out of those, I would definitely not change your Gyarados’ moves to those unless you have several Gyarados’. Everything else you would be fine changing those moves and particularly for Scizor and Pinsir, they are good movesets to have

It’s switching between wind and rain here. I’m either ending up overrun with plusles or taillows.

We took mewtwo down with 8 so I wouldn’t worry about your Pokemon too much

Thanks What I'm stupidly excited because I know I'll never get another chance at a really big raid so I really want to get it but you're right about not putting my eggs in one basket. Found the local Discord & they want to do it in teams to maximise balls but I'm Instinct & there's only 4 of us confirmed as going. Hopefully more will turn up on the day.

If we split in our group, we usually do one group blue and the other group red and yellow together, as there’s less of both of them. Maybe you could suggest that?

Swablu is available as a shiny.

So far I've had sunny and normal castform (it was clear here, last night), more than enough Taillow to evolve one, though none of them great, several Surskit, a single beldrum and enough swablu to be almost half way to evolving one, though no yellow ones. They were everywhere, along with volbeat, which I was heartily sick of by the time I'd caught my first, just like plusle!

Yes, as soon as you enter the game if you've received an ex-raid pass a large notification filling the majority of the screen will pop-up, letting you know when and where it is.

You can also re-access the notification by going to your profile and clicking on the gym it’s at.

KadabrasSpoon you get a notification and when you look in your bag it’s there if you click on it it expands to tell you time and place. Here are mine
