The only difficulty with that jennielou is that I might evolve the wrong one! If it's one where I want to evolve the best IV e.g. Mareep I can work out beforehand and mark it otherwise it uses up lucky egg time

jennielou75 That’s too simplistic; it doesn’t take into account the complexities of serious evolution.

There are lots of Pokemon that would appear if I just typed in evolve that I don’t want to evolve yet - I want the highest CP, highest IV combination possible, so particularly with Gen III there are lots I’m waiting for a better one to evolve.

You only get half an hour with a lucky egg and a star piece, so when doing a mass evolution every single second counts.

Um I am level 38 so have been playing this for a while. People play in their own way so that way may help someone. Anyway as I just play for fun this thread is obviously not the place for me.

Oh no jennielou I didn't mean to be rude. Just explaining how I do it. I also play for fun but using luck eggs to grind through the levels!

Of course everyone is welcome to play the game however they like, and every player is welcome in this thread whether they be casual or serious

Hi @jennielou75, this is definitely the place for you if you just play for fun, as that's what I do. I walk at least 5km per day, and see familiar faces around town, and talk to people young and old who share my love of this silly bloody game.

It started off amazingly, as we did a Wailmer raid and I GOT A 100% IV WEATHER BOOSTED ONE!

It’s my first 100% IV Pokemon ever

Then we wandered around town for a few hours in the heavy rain, cold and sleet, but it was definitely worth it as we caught loads of weather boosted Lotads (usually very rare), Carvanhas (rare), Speahls and a few Mudkips and Wailmer’s too.

We live in an area full of water Pokemon, so to get weather boosted ones is brilliant. Totally worth getting soaked through for.

I’m also 90% to getting gold on my fourth gym, so hoping I don’t get kicked out too soon. I want gold on all gyms in our town by the end of the year, if not much sooner.

There was a Lotad in my house today

I name anything I want to evolve Aa and sort alphabetically when I do lucky eggs. I did a lucky egg using my phone and iPad during the event yesterday and made 244k xp! Also caught 2 shiny Pikachu and enough others to get my gold medal. Hope it’s magikarp next.

Got another EX Raid invitation. Very excited!

Congrats jaimelannistersgoldenhand! Our town still hasn’t had one since the very first one all those months ago, while a town down the record gets them exceptionally frequently.

The next community day Pokemon has been announced: its Dratini!

Dratini doesn’t currently have a shiny form in Pokemon Go so unclear if they’ll add one.

The timing is awful, though. I’d rather not be wandering around town on a busy Saturday night but needs must.

Where are you? The one I saw said 10am - 1pm like this time?

Looking forward to dratini though, my dragon medal is still only bronze.

Also, I was reading about ex raids, and how to trigger gyms to be ex raid locations, seems to be something to do with the number of people who raid at that location in the period before the passes are given out.

We triggered an ex raid location the other week, about 50 of us raided it the weekend before passes were given out. About to start working on a gym in the next town over, too.

It's something to do with cells and only having one active gym per cell per ex raid cycle. Or something or it's just witchcraft.

I do have two mewtwos so not too upset I didn’t get a pass this time

RueDeWakening They changed the time - it was 7pm - 10pm but whether a mistake or not, they changed it to 10am to 1pm, which is much better for me

2328 is 100%.

Yes it’s 94% so quite good (ok pretty good) but I have all the legendaries but no 100% ones 😢

I think I raid with too many 100% obsessed blokes and it rubs off! One of our team is now level 40 and still stresses about getting better and better legendarys

Murinae Yes I have no 100% Legendaries either (my only 100% Pokemon to date is a Wailmer).

My closest is my 96% Groudon, which considering its one of the best Pokemon in the game so far (along with Kyogre and Mewtwo), I’m pretty happy with that.

Although still very sad that the 100% Kyogre I had ran away from me

I'm so pleased they've sorted out the jumping to the top of the list issue.
