TheweewitchRoz I bought a couple of ultra boxes and am loving the star pieces.

Stardust is so hard to actually get a lot of that putting a lucky egg and a star piece on right before you do a couple of legendary raids and hatch a few eggs in sequence really helps.

Hatched a Shroomish which takes me up to 273 on the 'Dex. I have about 9 new ones to evolve, so will drop a Lucky Egg over the weekend. Now 709k through Level 34. It's a slog...

I've hatched a mareep. About 10 days after I got really fed up and evolved the OKish one. I always knew it would be the way. It's easily 6 months since I started walking up the candy for it!

I'm often hatching Mareep. Think I've had 12 or so from the same pokestop now. Still I've never ever hatched or encountered a Chancey since the valentines event.

@DoctorTwo, be sure to do your lucky egg session during the Community Day event hours, 10am - 1:00pm for double XP. I'm planning to do mine then, now built up 20 - 22 new ones to add to the dex, depending on the Wurmple evolutions.

Stuck in the house but have done a lucky egg session including my 7 day catch streak, so lots of XP for that. Also now finally have both full evolutions of wurmple, so 3 new entries in my pokedex (had nothing but cascoon out of them for all this time). Have 130 mudkip candy but no mudkip worth evolving. Need a good wet day for that, I think.

I noticed that the Pikachu was everywhere too. Found 2 shiny Pikachu with Surf.

Hoping that Magicarp will be a Community Day Pokemon. Not got any shinies of that one.

I caught a shiny shuppet and transferred it before I noticed!

I have a shiney schuppet too but that’s all.

Took part in 3 Kyogre raids today and didn't catch any of them. Ok, that's not strictly true, as I took a mates phone on one raid and caught it for him on the first throw.

I did catch 18 Pikachu this morning though. No shinies, unfortunately. The only shinies I have are 2 Magikarp, one of which is now known here as Red Gary. She's one of only two in our little town, and my spare shiny Flappyfish is coveted by at least a dozen players. :o

I have noticed that when I click on a Pokemon to catch it it is going straight to blue balls. Going to see what is happening with my Pokemon go plus.

jennielou75 Yeah, it’s a new feature. Whenever you try to catch a Pokemon now it starts off with the poke ball you used last. So since you last used a Great Ball, that’s why it’s coming up automatically with those. If the last ball you used was an Ultra Ball, it will show that as default on your next Pokemon.

Basically it remembers the last type of ball you used and gives you that.

It’s the same for the PoGo plus too so watch out for that! Else you’ll spend all your great balls on pidgeys and the like.

Murinae I’ve done six Kyogre raids and only caught two of them (89% and 80% IVs so not too awful).

I took my 3 kids to a local park for the event today, my 4 year old caught me a shiny pika in the car on the way there

Did a kyogre raid but on DD's account, caught it first ball. I have 2 already from late weekend so it's all good. And DS1 started an account this morning, he's already level 14 thanks to double xp, he's over the moon!

Excellent event, I hope they repeat it (maybe with Wailmers or Magikarp though...)

RueDeWakening It’s a new monthly event; each month will be a different Pokemon with an exclusive event move.

At no other time will you ever be able to get a Pikachu with the move surf apart from today.

My hope is that these 3 hour events don't replace the big ones.

PickAChew I very much doubt they would do; they’re only mini events to try and get people out in their communities and doing things together.

I hope they're not always at the same time of day, it's a total non-starter for me to get out and about at that time most Saturdays.

I didn't do any getting out and about. They all appeared at my sofa (and I'm not near a park)

DH and I went out this morning and spent the entirety of the three hours out and about

We did several raids, and had lucky eggs and star pieces on so got lots of XP and stardust (close to 200k XP). We also tried to catch as many Pikachus as we could for the gold Pikachu badge (enabling us to get the shiny ones too!).

I’m also getting more serious in my Pokemonning; I had 1000 Pokemon and needed to do a proper sort out.

So for the last two days I’ve been going through each and every Pokemon, putting them through PokeGenie and naming them with their IV percentage and level (see attached pic).

I’m still only a third of the way through, but organising it is very satisfying. I’ve got rid of lots of Pokemon I had been keeping for months for no apparent reason, and marked anything I want to evolve with “evolveme” to make it nice and easy come the next community day.

With the couple of hundred free slots I’ll have from this sort out, I’ll catch lots of pidgeys/weedles/caterpies etc. and name them as “evolveme”, so that on the community day I can stick a lucky egg and star piece or two on and rake it all in

I love a good sort out too. I mark the ones to evolve with a dot and the candy so I know where I'm up to e.g. .Pidgey12 then I know I need 24 candy to evolve the next one etc.
Then can just search on . for the evolve session

I just type evolve into the search bar and all those with enough candy are there! Someone put this up because of the screen problem but I will use it from now on because it makes mass evolves much easier and quicker.
