I'm feeling fed up with recent events being so location specific. I'm closer than 4 hours to the nearest city, but I can't justify the train fare and spending a day lugging the DCs around to catch particular pokemon. Even raids requiring more people are a pain to coordinate. I've tried the whatsapp for the local group, but the constant buzzing of notifications is deeply irritating to manage. It's currently closed for my sanity!

I'm just plodding on 2/3 through L32. Nothing exciting to evolve on the horizon (although I can get a second Blissey next time I do an evolution ). I'm not doing much more than maintaining my streaks.

70 candies left for my Flaffy buddy... that's potentially 350k

I just saw the update, thanks eyebrows. Having checked the London PoGo map it appears that the golf course is no longer anything I want, so I have no more moral dilemmas about taking a quiet walk around an area of private land to catch a computer generated animal 😁

Also, they've moved to a park relatively locally to me so that's more convenient.

I'm hoping for a Machop nest somewhere near to me. I'm on 40 out of 100 for Machamp.

I'm three Magikarp off my Gyarados so I'm fairly confident that's going to happen today! I'm so excited

I go to the same large park every week whilst DD is in a lesson, the choices there are terrible now. You used to at least occasionally get something interesting (phanpy,pineco etc) hopefully new spawns with give me something other than hoothoot and sentret!

New spawns today? Interesting. We used to have an evee nest where I live, it was great til hen 2 was released and it changed to hoot hoot. Hoping it will revert back. Currently walking my blissey so I can power it up to max, it's been my best gym defender along with a strong vaporeon. I've a great wee Sakura which is doing well in gyms. What are you guys getting good results with in gyms/raids?

The nests change every two weeks on Thursday, so there should have been a few switches since gen 2 :)

I put Blissey and Snorlax in gyms first of all, and then after that anything I like; Kangaskhan and Unown are current favourites. But you don't want to keep a gym for longer than 8 hours so you don't needn't good defenders like you used to.

Raid and gym fighting wise, it absolutely depends on what you're fighting as to whether the Pokemon will be good (based on movesets and type etc).

😭😭😭 I have two Pokémon that have been stuck in a gym now for 37 days (and 8 hours). I'm wondering if they are ever going to come home. 😪😓😢😥

I love the new gym system. Even though there aren't many players in my town the gyms are changing hands regularly. It's fun. I miss getting 100 coins a day but 50 is ok especially as I don't spend my coins very often.

I love the new gym system too. I wish they would up the coin limit as 50 is hardly anything, but other than that I think it's fantastic.

I have indeed got the gold badges for those gyms not that it is doing me any good at all. . I will never visit the gyms again as they are on the other side of the world, at the end of a long trail and half way up a mountain. One of them didn't have a team in it when I visited so that's a bit of an indication as to how remote it is. I'm amazed it had 3G

Has anyone noticed rarer pokemon around over the past day or am I just having a lucky streak? Caught a granbull and a hitmonlee within seconds of each other last night which were both new to me and dh caught a Lapras & snorelax, new for him . I am in an event city. Idk, it was nice to see some new faces anyway

I got a random vorporean spawn

I had a random vaporeon too, a few days ago.. caught it on DDs phone as she's not been playing long and it was new to her, I've already got a couple of good ones, funny little fish-dogs.

I didn't use the gyms up until it changed, my boys did for a bit. It was always strong garados snolax etc and they always hammered my Pokémon. The new gym set up is very enjoyable as there are lots of different types and you have a chance of taking the gym when the motivation is low. My boys are fab if they are with me, they know all the combinations of best and worst combinations and tell me which ones to use.

No change in Pokemon here. Snubbulls are everywhere round here, and though rare, I have seen Hitmonlee/chan/top, Lapras and the evee evolutions in the wild before.

I very much doubt they'll have altered their spawn rates; pretty sure it's just random.

wartortle Nice! There was one in our town a few days ago but we never ventured up to get it as we already have Dragonites and wild ones are nowhere near as good.

If it was nearer we probably would have gone just to farm it for its candies though
