I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless.

Wow I got it first throw with a golden berry

I saw an active Lugia raid, this morning, but it was somewhere completely inaccessible to me (ad beliee me, I've walked down all sorts of back alleys and paths trying to reach that gym without paying for a guided tour!). I settled for screen shot.

I had no DS1 and a bouncy DS2, anyhow. I've done a raid with both phones before, but not with a hand on DS2 as well!

I've been in groups with 12 - 14 of us and only 2 or 3 a time have caught it.

Yes. There was a whole crowd there and so many of them said they didn't and never get it.

I have seen precisely one legendary raid, an Articuno, I turned up, no-one else did.

In other news, I hatched a Porygon and got a Porygon 2 from the candy. 226 in the dex!

Not by a lot. I've used a golden razzberry every single time with both Lugia and Articuno along with great and excellent throws and still nothing.

I hatched another Larvitar, which brought 32 candies with it. I have enough candy to power up the best one and do a double evolve to Tyranitar. Quite chuffed with that.

My last 10k egg was another Mareep bringing with it 40+ candies. Now can evolve my flaafy as i have 132 mareep candy

So I hatched a 10km egg whilst I had a lucky egg on the go...and it was....

We took the kids to the library this afternoon and spotted a Lugia raid happening a minute away, so we went and joined in. There were loads of people there, but I didn't get close to defeating it in the groups I was in, so not even a whiff of a chance of catching one.

Rudedog if that sod had been alive I would have killed it.

I made my legendary my buddy just to see how it looked.

It takes 6.7k for one candy. So when thr event ends, normal walking distance for one legendary candy is 20k 😮😨

Was out for a walk and legendary raid a local pokestop - it's a church on a roundabout with a bland car park- normally never see anyone there so as we walked up was saying to DH 'no point doing it as we can't take it on our own' reach stop- four cars and a van in the car park and a van (never any cars there except when its a Sunday or slimming world!) 20+ people when I've never seen another player there!!

The result we defeated articuno and both me and DH caught him!! Result

Just dragged ds1 out for a pokewalk, since it's no longer raining.

I hatched a bloody mantine. At least I didn't waste 5k on it.

Noticed I only have .1k to the next snorlax candy, so might have to pop back round the block.

There were loads of people there, but I didn't get close to defeating it in the groups I was in

Did you not all coordinate in one big group to defeat it together? That's what's happened at all the raids I've been at.

I discovered a cool fact today! When you're doing a raid and you see all the people doing it with you, if you click on their avatar you can see information about them! It works on yourself too.

So, by doing that, I have discovered the following about myself:

Battles Won: 534
Walking Distance: 317.56km (179 miles )
Pokemon Caught: 3,789

I found something out today. When you're planning a mass evolve with a lucky egg it's a big time saver if you type "evolve" into the search box on the Pokemon screen. It lists only the Pokemon where you have enough candy to evolve them. When you no longer have enough candy for another evolution then they vanish. It means that you don't have to scroll down through quite so many in order to find the ones that you want.

I've done two lucky egg mass evolutions tonight and a big tidy up. About 35 spaces have been cleared in addition to the usual vermin. The evolve command definitely speeds it up. You have to be careful if you're saving up for a second to third stage evolution if just the first is showing. It's easy to forget and blow 25 candies.

Currently out of red balls due to the extra spawns while using the go plus.

Anyway the mass evolution has now got me halfway through level 32. I'd like to get to level 33 around the start of September.

Did my first team raid today - first time talking to other players and it was great, a big friendly varied group (I live in a city). And I caught a Lugia! Really exciting. But the friendly young game geek blokes beside me had been to TEN legendary raids together since yesterday and one of them had caught nothing yet, which made me feel a bit undeserving. I got over it quickly though

Just about to put a lucky egg on and do a quick evolve before the bonuses stop.
