Still just keeping up the streaks, but yesterday I HATCHED A SNORLAX. That's No2, and I have 40 Snorlax candy.

I get it re grinding up Pikachus, it just feels wrong. I do it though, 'cos I'm heartless.

Didn't even see a legendary raid today.

My first lucky egg sesh has amassed 128kxp so I'm happy with that one.

I've just been out for a long walk to hatch eggs and replenish my bag after catching masses of vermin today. Of course I caught masses more on the walk, and my bag remains depleted.

Hatched four 5k eggs though, just after coming in the door all tired out, and the stardust boost has given me a thrill.

Also: hi I'm never sure how to join these long-running threads. I haven't posted before on this one but I've been playing with DS (too little for his own phone) for about a year. We let it drop for a while, but got interested again after the gym revamp. Just hit level 30 on Friday.

I've not been able to got out and do any big raids although we tried a articuno but there were only four of us so you can imagine how that went 😂

I have been able to have a lucky egg on the go most of the day - I had over 70 of them so I though I might as well. Ive been able to get 1000xp from a single throw. I've also been pineapp'ing the hell out of every pidgey I've seen. Getting 12 candies from one catch with a first evolution is pretty neat.

This evening I did a mass evolve and leveled up to level 38. I've been saying I'm going to give up when I get to level 38 but we will see 😬 I think I need to get an articuno and a legion first.

I finally gave in an evolved a crappy chancy and am now the proud trainer of a 706 Blissey

Have been reading local Facebook pages and seems as though lots of people haven't been able to catch the legendaries, apparently just a 2% catch rate.
Normally I am too shy/embarrassed to join raids but this morning it was pissing down and there was no one else around apart from the pokehunters so I just went up to them to see if I was too late to join in. Some of them had already tried the raid and failed. I decided to give it a go and about 12 people joined in and defeated the Articano. Unfortunately I didn't manage to catch it. With the rain my screen was wet so I wasted a couple of balls. The guy next to me caught his though. On the plus side I did get 13000xp, 6 golden raspberries, 6 magic rainbow candies and 1 of those things that lets you change moves. And it was fun!

Ooh nice one tumpy, hope you catch it next time! I'm hoping to find one or two tomorrow to join in on.

What did you use the lucky eggs for? Evolving?

We managed to defeat him- it's the bonus catching part that we suck at.

Its a chilly miserable looking day today so not sure I can be really arsed to go out pokemonning. Even if there are any legendary raids the chances of there being more than a couple other people are slim to none so pointless and I have only one egg so can't make the most of egg hatching distances. Think I'll just do a lucky egg evolve at home and leave it at that.

I'm a happy bunny. Got three new Pokemon this morning.

Finally got my blastoise, got my donaphan and hatched a surprise scyther from a 5km egg which was walked at 1.7km with the reduced walking distance.

Tyrogue, Scyther, Pichu, Magby.

I have a 10k on the boil only 3.3ks net.

What time is this event off?

I need to take my Houndour for a nice long walk and hopefully catch dozens of Pidgeys and Weedles to evolve with the third lucky egg. After that I am done.

If I can walk Houndour enough to evolve it then that's my Pokedex complete except for Unown which I can't do much about.

Just did a Lugia raid and didn't catch it

I hatched a larvitar and now have enough candy to get a tyranitar very exciting, I'm due a mass evolve and it should get me to level 32.

I got one whilst running a lucky egg and got 27,400xp.

I don't have the reduced hatching distance that others seem to have? I have the double XP and candy though so have had a good evolve and clear out session. Very satisfying

You will do; it just doesn't always show it.

The reduced hatching only works with new hatches not ones you are currently walking.

If you click an egg and go to put it into an incubator, you will notice a big 0.33 on it. Incubate it, go off the egg page and go back on and it's reduced

Yup, I've been sitting on a stack of pidgeys since the last double xp event.

No other poke hunters in my neck of the wood so I haven't got a chance with the legendary birds. Are they disappearing tomorrow?

Ooh scrap what I just said! Articuno and Lugia aren't disappearing tonight; they'll still be available after today but they'll be very rare.
