Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

Nameless although Pokémon didn't exist then I was in NYC a year ago and the 4G was non existent too. 3G was patchy and my battery drained super fast each day too. I d have needed a battery in a wheelbarrow if I'd gone whist pokemoning

Have recorded most of my hatches since the babies came out (only eggs since the babies came out) and tallied hatches. I've missed quite a few out, I'm sure.

In total, I've hatched 127 eggs of 47 different types of pokemon.

jennielou75, I made a point of checking this morning, and I am definitely still getting 25XP for fleeing pokemon. Are you sure your 25xp isn't being added to the xp for a previously caught one?

I will give it another check. I am sure the sign that used to come up isn't but I will check the amount.

It was a good day today, I got the 1000km golden shoes by walking to the shops. I now have 1,001 km because at 6.45 I was just sitting down with a cup of tea when I opened the game to see if I was still holding a gym. There was a big gloopy shadow at the second closest Pokestop so it was shoes, hat, gloves and coat and out of the house leaving my cup of tea on the table. The trainer was very sniffy about it but I now have my first Grimer and as it's the only one I've ever seen I don't care if it's a wimp.

I have a theory about my lack of babies in eggs.

I stopped hatching eggs for a good few months as I just couldn't be bothered with the disappointment as everything I ever got from them was rubbish.

I wonder if you can only hatch babies if you've hatched so many eggs? So only people who have already hatched 400 eggs, for example, since the start of the game, will get babies?

It's the only thing I can think of. I've hatched three 2ks in the past three days and each one was a Spearow. The 5ks have been Magicarp, Machop and Sandshrew. I've given up on eggs again

Hmm, piknmixer, you could be on to something. I've hatched 10 babies from eggs, DH and the kids none. Even though they started playing before me (DH July, the kids Aug, me Oct) they've hatched fewer eggs than me as they've done less walking than me - they only play occasionally and I use it as a walking app.

I'm not sure the egg theory is correct. I've only hatched 54 eggs in all and have 4 babies. Sorry

Well, I haven't hatched that many eggs and I have hatched 4 babies now- two wigglytuffs and two pichus. Second one was hatched yesterday.

We went to Whitstable yesterday and it was full of electrodes and magnemites. Dd was catching one after another. We also took down a level 10 gym- my army of canon fodder came in handy but did take bloody ages to get through.

Have they changed how much xp you get for leveling up a gym? I use half cp or less and yet only seem to get 800-ish cp per each battle won. Usually it's around 500xp per winning session.

186 eggs hatched here. I'm surprised there are that many!

I've got someone on a mission in Australia to get me a Kanga (Thanks pidgey) it may seem wrong having someone catch the regionals for you but I'm never going there anytime soon and this is quite exciting during this boring period of the game!

Still playing, up to level 30 but getting bored. I now have enough dratini candy (finally) to get my dragonite and apart from a togepi, my UK pokadex is finished. I think we need a new event, or gen 2 soon.

Can anyone help with a data usage problem? On iphone 6, the past few months, I have exceeded my data limit for the month (3gb). I finally downloaded a tracker app to see what was causing the high usage, thinking it might be PoGo. This seems to show that I use all my data under "other" and then v small amounts on other things (facebook, safari). PoGo isn't listed at all, but when I look at the time of high usage, it corresponds to times I know I had it open. For example, on Saturday, I apparently used 581mb under "other" during 9-11am when I was out pokemon hunting. I know it shouldn’t use all this data. What can I do?

Louey most likely you need to turn off the data-boost when mobile coonection is poor. Apple changed a few months ago and I had the same thing until I toggled it off!

It's under 'wifi assist' in Mobile Data.

Quite a few babies here as I do a lot of walking and eggs. I don't really understand the point of them though. They are cute so have kept them though

Still not understanding the gym thing. Never seen one with space or near to levelling up. The rival gyms are such high levels I've got no chance. Wondering if I'm missing something?

Abbey Rival gyms are all about having enough strong monsters of the right types to battle with the guys in there. The quicker you beat them the more 'prestige' you take away from the gym and the fewer 'mons can be in the gym.
Training in a friendly gym is slightly different as you are trying to raise the prestige of the gym, you do this by battling the 'mons already there but instead of knocking them out when you win, you up the prestige until a space is made to add another Pokémon, hopefully yours.
When prestiging, keeping the whole of your teams CP BELOW HALF of the defender you are fighting will give you 1,000 prestige increase after each win. A quick way to get one of yours in.

Unless someone puts a >300 Chancey in, trying to prestige that one up with pidgeys, rats and weedles was a lost cause. Think one of my Dc will be going back to knock it of tomorrow if it's still there

It's my pet peeve when someone puts a bloomin' Chancey in there!! (When trying to prestige)

I'm a Chansey putter inner and I'm not even ashamed. My one is a 1200cp one though.

Dillite that's a bit more manageable to prestige and it is a good gym defender with the stamina of a beast so i understand. But I've got no chance with one under 800 and those are what I keep seeing. I now just roll my eyes are keep on going lol. My chancy is around the 800 mark itself. I may power her up but i also want candy for Blissy!

Seem this is why I don't do gyms and just wander round collecting.
