Pokemon Go #6: Where pokemon babies are abandoned in gyms at freezing temperatures

Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

Quick question: does using half CP Pokemon to take down an opposing gym also give your more prestige? It's not something I've thought about before

Still no babies hatched and loads of gen 1 to get, clearly rubbish at this!

Hatched another Lickitung and finally managed to catch a Ditto! Also I somehow lost this thread for a few days and had to go hunting to find it again.

How often do you all run away from things? I'm finding myself running away more and more. Like, if I haven't caught that damn Pidgey with two or three balls, screw it.

Galen, I run away from things a lot. I generally throw one ball at anything I see and if I don't catch it in one I walk away. That's just because I want the stardust to power my good stuff up though. I''ll go up to three balls if the candy would be useful. For anything I desperately need I'll keep going until I run out of balls or it runs away.

Especially since I've only ever seen a growlithe once and I couldn't find where he was in time either!

Nidoran and Magby hatched today.

Haven't posted much as not playing so much now. Still log on every day and get my daily pokestops and catches, but until they launch generation 2 there's not much for me to do. I have completed Generation 1 apart from tangela and polygon, and they are proving far too illusive to worry about. I usually make sure I get a least 10 pokecoins a day from a gym, but since the special bulbasaur/charmeleon event there isn't much to get me excited now! I haven't got many babies, but since they are pretty useless doesn't seem much point in walking miles just to try and hatch them out of eggs.

I know that Growlithe isn't common, but I didn't realise it was possible to still not have seen one to at least attempt to catch. No wonder you were so annoyed.

I just caught a Growlithe in bed Mackem I see one every 2-3 days at least but this was the first one at home. On the other hand I still only have one baby and still no Snorlax. I've only ever seen one Onyx in the wild.

Hi all, I'm still missing all sorts, but I have enough candy to evolve Golem and something else I have been working on, and nearly there with Kadabra. I might give up on catching high IV mon for the last few evolves because I hardly get the chance to battle anyway!

I am in the US this week, with data. Hoping to get some chance to play. It is very busy with work and for some reason the GPS keeps glitchinh out so I can't play much off wifi! Grrr.

But look at all of this on my doorstep! I really hope I get a bit of free time and a working phone!

nameless i hope you do manage to get some pokemoning in. In the evening? When we went to the US last summer unfortunately i didnt have data so had to rely on wifi. But i still managed to get a Tauros and a snorlax. Also found a lot of rare things here were common over there like growlithe, ekans and sandshrew.

cantstand I've wondered that too when battling gyms, but have never tried it out. Maybe i'll give it a go when out later.

Its nearly DD's birthday, the Pikachu soft toy I ordered her just arrived, she is going to love it and if she doesn't I can just nick it

I now only need an Aerodactyl to complete the original Pokedex. I have never even seen a shadow of one and i have no 10km eggs at the moment. It is so dull now.

I caught my second ditto today.. Only caught pidgey as bag was full..Second one I caught without my DS been here.. He will be annoyed.

tumpy, in addition to the Kabutops I'm still walking candy for I only need Tangela and Aerodactyl. I saw an Aerodactyl about two weeks after starting to play, but it poofed, and I've never seen even the shadow of one since. I have a ton of 5k eggs and one 10k, so I'm crossing fingers. However, I'm also missing only one of the babies, but that's also a 10k.

PickAChew, you're going to hate me. I had to go to South Shields this afternoon so walked down past the parks before picking up the E1 just on the off-chance of a Kabuto, and I got one! I also managed to catch it for each of the kids too. Now I only need three more candies for my Kabutops, so might have that by Friday. Yay! :)

Oh, forgot to say that my DH finally got his first Ditto when we were out on Sunday as well, it was a Magikarp which DS caught for him when we were in the car. :)

Hatched this today. Never even seen a shadow of one so quite pleased out of 10k eggs so back to 5k it is.

After weeks of seeing nowt new I added 2 to my Pokedex today. Tangela was hatched (1239CP) and 5 minutes later Kabuto (14CP) was caught.

Hatches for me today were Magikarp x 2 and Ekans.

I ended up caving and adding more data to my plan as was finding not being about to use data on my phone a pain.

Hatched a vulpix and now have enough for Ninetails which is awesome and got my first Exeggcute which is cool. Huge well done to everyone who has their Gen 1 pokedex - hope gen 2 comes quickly!

Thanks guys :) it's pouring with rain now and my phone is still only working intermittently off wifi, but I caught a Tauros this morning! He's feeble but he's in the Dex! I might be inclined to brave the rain if I could guarantee the egg hatching and catches but it isn't looking great. At least I have Tauros now though! Want to collect a few in case of trading :)

My playing has been pathetic lately with darkness and work pressure. I've even missed a couple of days streaks. Lots still to catch or hatch and no time to do it. Stopped at Aldi yesterday on way home from work and spotted a distant Lapras!! Charged off towards it but it disappeared before I got there. Otherwise I see nothing new. Pop into the occasional gym. Wish I had time to just walk and hatch a few rubbish eggs!
