Hello you lovely lot. Nowt new today, but at least I caught a couple of Squirtles and have enough candy to get Wartortle, so that's 4 to add to my Pokedex when I do a Lucky Egg mass evolve.

Thanks jellywitch that was my inclination. Only thing is that since lowest mon in gym was 1600 I dont actually have many gym battlers with a CP lower than 800. I did use a raticate and one time my 600CP dragonite came in useful.
I also have no normal balls left, and no ditto either. Normally I would walk on by pidgeys pairs, maybe get one every now and then to evolve, but yesterday and today I have hit so many. and still no ditto.

Talking of evolving I was thinking it would be good to do a session before 30th Nov, but really dont have much to evolve now. There's the usual pidgeys and weedles but my pokedex is nearly full now. I only have 6 evolving ones left to do (kabutops, venusaur, charizard, raichu, alakazam, muk) and they are all miles off. So what is everyone else on the higher levels evolving?

Hurrah, my ratatta just turned into Ditto! Now to get him into a gym...

I got a second Ditto, again from a magicarp, it has a measly 28 CP, first one has 265.

I'm about to sit down with a cup of tea and a lucky egg to clear out all these rats and pidgeons that were not dittos. That will see me well into L28. One of the evolutions will be Machoke and that will put me to 131 in the Pokedex. I've not hatched anything new in weeks but I keep hoping.

Still no ditto here. Loads of poofer podgeys though. Fuckers.

Pft! Got an Ekans from my egg. But it meant I had enough candies for another Arbok. Did my evolving and actually ran out of time, so all the stuff I could evolve before transferring I still evolved, figured might as well make the most of the event's double XP. :)

Added Tentacruel, Nidoking, Charmeleon, Vileplume, Victreebell and Electrode to my Pokedex, so pretty happy. Now on caught 115, seen 134. The 110,000 XP took me to level 25 so now I have a 3 use incubator to keep in case I get any more 10k eggs. I'm now working my way through the 2ks as I want Geodude candies. :)

Some arse just kicked me out of a gym within 5 minutes. That's my gym and I can guarantee they will get their backside kicked again when I stop by on the way to work tomorrow.

Still no ditto but I am one dugtrio candy and one alakazam candy away from evolving (both new) so that's a little salve on an otherwise crappy day.

I've been in two gyms for over two weeks now. I think it's down to the mud.

I shouldn't really complain. I've been in the gym the other end of the villages since early September! It was more that I had bothered to do more than a fly-by and actually prestiges it up to L3 for no purpose (I can't even claim coins until first thing).

JellyWitch, I got kicked out a gym very soon after taking it, possibly by a spoofer. I think the person I took it from was a spoofer too as it changed team as I was walking towards it but I couldn't see anyone in the gym area.

I take two gyms that are close together near work every day, collect my 2 coins as half hour later I am kicked out. Every time.

There are also two near my home which are similar so I've stopped bothering with them after work as i can't hold all 4 ever and it's more convenient for me to collect coin at lunch time lol

I've been in two gyms for almost a month now so I have two coins guaranteed. I then try to take a couple more in the morning if I manage to leave for work early enough. Today I was not at work so could drive around taking gyms - hence 8 claimed.

325k of 350k needed for level 29. This event is certainly helping.

On the other hand am I the only one without s ditto?

None of the three of us in this house have a ditto either. Annoyingly a local group posted about one just round the corner from me last night, but I didn't see the message for an hour!

No ditto here either - very annoying!

Four of us in this house and none of us have a Ditto yet either. I did manage to get the other three their first Doduo each this evening though. :)

Actually, please could someone help me out with gym etiquette?

I don't really do them a lot and if I see a space I'll sometimes just drop a creature in there, but looking on Reddit today, it seems this pisses people off. It looks like there's a whole load of unwritten rules around using gyms which I wasn't aware of. Am I doing the wrong thing?

The longest I ever managed to last in a gym was a day. Usually it's only a couple of hours before I get kicked out.

If there's a space it's fine to add to the gym. Maybe they complained that they battle a gym to kick out a team and then someone takes it over before they can put their own Pokemon in - this has now changed so that the person battling the gym gets first priority at putting in their Pokemon.

Dh has just caught a ditto as I was explaining to him how cool it was. I then caught the same thing but for me it didn't change. This is beyond irritating.

No Ditto for me. I even had 6 rats and 4 pidgeys spawn at a gym, caught them all with my precious supply of ultra balls and no Ditto.
