Hello you lovely lot. Nowt new today, but at least I caught a couple of Squirtles and have enough candy to get Wartortle, so that's 4 to add to my Pokedex when I do a Lucky Egg mass evolve.

Long day at work today covering in another shop where there is no signal whatsoever stupid cement building so not much catch wise. I'm in 2 gyms though at 2 transport interchanges, will definately be out by morning!

I have consoled myself on a bad day pokemoning with an Apple pie and custard

My DS took a gym today on pub car park...As I went to pull out someone knocked him off open gym..So we drove round went back in entrance and took his empty space..Still had it 1/2 hour later not checked since but it is the one I can see from home so shall keep an eye on it.

Also did a lucky egg this am with 7 day bonus so on level 25.

Had a great time yesterday, Eel Brook Common is indeed a Growlithe nest, so caught enough to evolve, so am now proud mum to an Arcanine. Enough Bellsprout in Green Park to evolve a Victreebel, and a Tangella out of a 5k egg!

DC came home with 3 10k eggs & a couple of 5k eggs as well

Grrr Pixie. Despite being level 21, I still only have ONE Bulbasaur!

Hit 30 today. First level I haven't used a lucky egg. Have a lot saved to use soon. Good haul for levelling up. This has been my slowest level as I've slowed since getting to 142 but I hear there are more ditto codes now!

Can also confirm that broomside park in Durham is a growlithe nest. Did one lap of it and caught 3 of them, with another still in sightings.

Still have our regular bulbasaur. I ran out, this afternoon and didn't track it down, but I think I know where they're spawning. Will test my theory on the school run, tomorrow. We may just have our own mini nest!

Caught an aerodactyl on the way to work. already had one but fairly exciting to get something rare. You never know I might even see a lapras one day.

Don't think an event is happening is it. Boo.

Finally got two 10k eggs! My egg supply is full now though so have to walk a few kilometres before I get home if I want to hope for more.

I found the bulbasaur!

Unfortunately, we're forecast a 30 hour deluge, so they'll have to stay put for a while.

A machop from home is as exciting as it gets for me today. Was going to take DD for a walk today but she is full of cold, a very cute but snotty mess! were cuddled up on the sofa watching ben and holly instead

Luckily it was day 7 yesterday for the pokestop streak.

Someone has actually kicked my Pokemon out of a gym is this rain. Nutter!

Good news: Event confirmed from 23rd for 7 days

Bad news: all we will get is double stardust and double XP. No candies or extra Pokemon.

Better than nothing I suppose.

Wondering if lucky egg will quadruple xp for the event? Will keep my lucky egg session until Wednesday now!

Ended up getting four 10k eggs in the end, very happy! Also filled up my pokemon storage for the first time, there was so many around. And hatched my first porygon

Finally got this beautiful creature after walking for what seemed like years with my Vulpix. Now swapped my buddy to Bellsprout to finally get to a Victreebell. Good news about the event but shame there won't be any special critters

There will be double stardust and double XP again in a couple of days (but no mention of double items in pokestops).

nuttelladreams - I'm running out of balls all the time, with double XP and double stardust it will sting even more.

Wonder if this is the only way they can prop up the interest in the game? It's not very creative and probably not very fair to those players who leveled up early, without the help of any such events.

I know CartwheelGirl, I used to catch everything and do mass evolves but I just don't have enough balls.

Oooh I have a lucky egg sesh planned too. Will save til then to see if I get more!

I evolved a 9 tails on Sunday and got a vulpix from my 5k egg..

I like the sound of this event. Now I'm on Level 24 it's a lot more XP to level up and I'm currentlycatching anything and everything for stardust to do power ups so this event totally works for me, I just need to make sure I get out every day of it for stuff.

Hatchec a 10k egg and got a Scyther, to go with the one I caught a week or so ago, so nice. :)

PickAChew managed to get to Cleadon Park today and got five Charmanders for me, lost two that poofed, and got about four each for the kids. Not bad for an hour or so. Going to have to go to Jarrow tomorrow so wondering if I'll have time to detour through West Park as there are apparently Bulbasaurs there.

Well excited about the event. Double XP great for levelling up and double stardust a great excuse to strengthen your main players

Double stardust is a nice thing and the extra XP will close what's left of the gap to level 30. Only downer is that I'm barely going to be in London during the event so won't be able to make the most of it - might have to take a day driving round levelling gyms for the XP.
