Pokemon Go #2. 6 balls to catch a Pidgey?!?

I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

I went to a new playgroup in a church hall where if you choose your seat carefully you can access a pokestop and a gym.

I took the gym and held it for all of three minutes at a time as a rival immediately took it back.

So many people on their phones so I left unsure who the mystery gym battler was!

In London. Severely disappointing pokemon so far!

Whereabouts in London. The Thames in Westminster and especially by Waterloo is good.

I did a bus tour and got lots hatched. Nothing new in four 10k eggs. Got a dratini and an omanyte. Useful for candy. Also hatched a manky so at evolve level, and got 20 geodude candies towards Golem on the bus.

I just saw Scyther shadow. Ran up and down like a madman and couldt find it.

Now have enough candy to evolve Bulbasaur and Duodo.

Ooh they sound good Queen got briefly into the gym at Buckingham palace today. Result.

Has anyone had a look at the newest Pokémon Go update news.... things are looking up.

As we continue to make improvements to Pokémon GO, we have made an enhancement to the Gym experience for Trainers of all levels. In an upcoming version of Pokémon GO, when training at a friendly Gym, Trainers will be able to bring six Pokémon to battle instead of one. In addition, the CP of the Pokémon you are training against may be temporarily adjusted lower during your training session to generally match your Pokémon’s battle capabilities.

No matter what your level, you can now have an impact on your team’s Gym. Walk with your Buddy Pokémon to that nearby landmark and show your Team Leader that you can battle with the best!

We want to give you a sneak peek of a feature coming soon to Pokémon GO. We are adding a new feature which grants a catch bonus when you earn medals based on catching certain types of Pokémon (Kindler, Psychic, Gardener, etc.). These new bonuses will give you a better chance of capturing Pokémon with a related type. For example, as you reach a higher tier for the Kindler Medal, your bonus to catch Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander, Vulpix and Ponyta increases.

Trainers can work their way to a new tier by catching many Pokémon of the same type. If a Pokémon has multiple types, your bonus will be the average of your bonuses for each type. For example, Pidgey is both Normal and Flying type. Your bonus in this case would be the average of your Normal-type and Flying-type bonuses.

Lost the bloody thread. Haven't had a chance to play in days.

Today appeared a CP??? Hypno. First time I've seen CP??? tbh. I fed him a Razz Berry and chucked an Ultra Ball in his general direction. Hypno was caught! CP1155! Get in! Then a CP83 Pidgey did a runner.

CP?? means it will be a high one.

I can knock over a L7 gym but can't get a foot in one of my own colour so training with a team of six will suit me very well.

42000 of evolutions ready with one new one in there. Im 47000 from leveling up! Might try tomorrow!

My 5k egg gave me a psyduck. Ffs.

That'll make levelling up easier. Not sure how I feel about that now I've mostly mastered it. But there does need to be a better balance between the effort to level up and the relative ease of taking a gym down I guess.

Caught a Scyther and hatched a Pinsir!

5 ultra balls and a 600cp Nidorina runs off. Seriously?

How do you know if you've found a nest? Is it just a place where you get loads of one type?

My first Scyther was 1000+ but ran away

The one I caught was 416

Evening! Just got home from work after 14 hours and had bugger all time to play today.

My only plus points were the ten min ride home where I got a Kabuto that's new to me and a shadow of a snorlax but the beast didn't show up
