Pokemon Go #2. 6 balls to catch a Pidgey?!?

I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

I had a great day at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth today. I caught a load of new ones: Rhydon, Electrode, Charmeleon, Magneton and Doduo. I also hatched a Hitmonchan. I've also got a load more candy to evolve some others. Definitely going to go there again!

DH has 11 Pokemon in gyms but he could only claim 10 coins today. He felt a bit hard done by because he'd kept the DS off the sofa and out in the sunshine for the best part of 2 days to achieve that

Had a lovely day catching at a nest. Can't say what for fear of being outed as its all over my FB. Then recovered a local gym that Valor took at lunchtime, took it up to L4 for mystic and then helped some newbies to gyms by opening up a space for them too at a gym they didn't have a hope of levelling up. Good karma for me I hope.

I finally found my first Pikachu today as well Frog. DH thought I was mad grabbing my wellies and running off across a field to find a non-existent 'thing' which he can't see and therefore doesn't believe exists. He really hasn't got the hang of it at all has he....

Haha brilliant green, the shadow showed up at the bus stop so I couldnt walk around for it as the bus was in 5 mins but luckily it popped up just as the bus was pulling out of the station! I'm hoping I didn't actually exclaim out loud

I'm torn now about my buddy, having a pikachu on my shoulder would be the most amazing thing ever and the whole point? BUT I've got magikarp at the mo, annoying as he is, they've totally dropped off the map anywhere around me so no chance at candy for gyarados. Hmmmm. Decisions.

This made my day!! And I got enough candy for my squirtle double evolve and growlithe evolve!

I now have tentacruel after finally evolving tentacools. Mystic woman was very impressed with him.

Back home from Stratford and my regular evening stroll (Pidgeys, Rats, Drowseys...) yielded 4 Ekans, never seen before there. I wonder if something has been reset?

No idea devil, I think it's very variable. My hitmonchan is 20. Actual 20. But it's my only so he's staying.
I really want to complete the pokedex. 125 with 2 ready to evolve and one 5 candies away. (vulpix)

I'm sat on 134 seen and caught still. Everything is a duplicate now as it's the rare evolutions I need. I have Bulbasaur as my buddy now. Venusaur seems a long way off.

On the plus side, I've held 2 gyms for a week. They're at a National Trust house and a bit of the beaten path. A steady 20 coins a day is good though.

I finally made level 29 as well.

I'm on day 18 for one of my gyms. Feeling very possessive of it now!

Good day out yesterday at the Imperial Wat museum where there's a Growlithe nest. For whoever was asking, yes they reset all the nests and spawn points randomly about a week ago so parks that used to be full of sandshrews may now be Pikachutastic.

I've finally made my way up to level 24 and it seemed like a long slog so I'm going to catch all the pidgeys for the next day or two and have a Lucky Egg evolution orgy to boost me some of the way to 25.

What are people spending their coins on? I've amassed 170, but it's taken ages and I can't decide whether to blow it on an incubator or wait and go for storage.

Hi everyone, looks like you're all plodding along and filling up those pokedex, still no Aerodactyl for me and no 10k eggs :( Levelled up to 31 over the weekend, internet has been really bad here, and it's so busy at the moment there's nowhere to park and just nip out to catch something good - missed a Lapras and a Venusaur because of it! Roll on November when the tourists bog off and leave me to pokemon in peace :) - although I wonder if we'll still get such good stuff.

I wish Niantic would spread the pokemon around a bit, there are loads on the coast but as you go inland it's just the boring ones - do they not think that rural people play?

Anyway, still going, slowly but surely - the CP levels are still random at level 31, caught a 39 CP Snorlax yesterday, i'm keeping him though :)

flappyfish well in lvl 29! That seems sooooo far away here. I'm 40k in lvl 21 just grinding up pidgeys for a mass evolve soon.

Not had many surveys recently so I'm stuck on £5.59, will wait for £7.99 though and get the 1200 coin pack. Will buy 8 lucky eggs and 5 incubators - decided against incense as I'm more likely to get what I need in eggs.
Just noticed I've got another 10km egg, my 2nd one ever, I'm hoping for either snorlax, lapras, onix or magmar.

That's great progress. I'm finding level 29 very slow. Vi did a big evolve session (63 Pokemon) with three new Pokemon but it didn't make too big a difference.

I was wondering about going into the city today but can't think of a cover story. . I think I'm too old to set out for the sole purpose of playing Pokemon not that that usually stops me

I'm collecting a regular 4 poke coins a day and can top that up with extra gym some days if I'm out of town. Our town is ruled by blue and I'm pretty sure they are using bots and multiple accounts. Really remote gym get taken back sooooo quickly and at really odd times.

I found an onyx nest! I'm only 26, very jealous of these high levels! Took me 6 days 25-26. Think this will be longer! I want a chansey and a lapras!

I finally got a Snorlax yesterday, DH was driving when I saw the shadow pop up so I didn't think I had much chance of finding it but then it appeared on the screen. It's only 473cp but it still made me happy.

I hatched a Hitmonlee on from a 10k egg on the school run this morning too. I walk a minimum of 5k every day so get a lot of eggs hatched but mostly it's just repeats. I got an Evee in my last 10k egg which was a huge disappointment.

Caught this beast this morning. Took me 15 balls, I was rushing to catch my bus but all was well in the end. And he just appeared out of nowhere as well! At one point I was next to a gym and all of a sudden about 6 pokemon spawned. I managed to catch 3 before the bus got too far.

I've never seen a hitmonlee/Chan at all. Had a lapras and magmar shadow once but a lot of the rarer ones are just nowhere to be seen. Caught two dratini but no more Dragon types.

Yet my DB caught a wild lapras at level 9

Everyone is doing better than me.

I've managed to get to level 17 and now I am constantly stalked by bastard Drowzees, I can have 3 in my house in the same time -
They're not wanted!
