I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

My 5k egg was a Meowth which I didn't need as I've already got a Persian

I currently have no eggs. Pokestops don't seem forthcoming either.....not sure why I'm bothering walking places now?!

No amazing catches today..Hatched a ratta from 2k egg.. Still on 2 gyms though..One I am shocked about.It is at a pub but frequently changes team...

Funniest one took a gym for 10 minutes.. One one team on a gym with a group of kids playing ..It is at a skatepark.. It is overlooked by a large superstore... however my DS was only close enough by climbing right up to the fence.. He took the gym then could hear some lad complaining someone had took his gym.. He took it back again however it was funny as they couldn't see anyone around.

I have only caught 159 Pidgeys!!! Got tonnes of water ones though as I live at a spawn point.

Trained at a level 8 friendly gym to b big it up to a level 9, so should consistently get 40 coins every day now. I have finally worked out how to do special moves when fighting. My Victreebel was impressive!

When fighting at a gym do you know why it chooses particular Pokemon from your lot to fight with? I thought it was in order of CP but don't think it is now.

Seems like a lot of you manage to hold gyms a lot longer than I can. I live in a university town and there are still obviously loads of people playing here.

I just did a mass evolve and got 80 evolves with one new Pokemon-a victreebell CP1728. I got 82000 XP. I'm not sure why I got 82000 and not 81000 .... 🤔

I've realised I only need 10 Magikarp candy to evolve! Now have a buddy flapping along ineffectually next to me, its most disconcerting

Can anyone explain the IV thing to me and how to work it out please? And is it worth powering up before evolving, or not? I'm on the blue team if that helps with appraisal statements.

With a Magicarp with good IVs it might be worth powering up. You can't guarantee decent gyrados moves but it will take long enough to save up for another one that you can probably justify the stardust?

Normally I pier up afterwards when I know whether it's worth it. And sometimes I power them up even with rubbish moves just to get them higher and more secure in a gym anyway!

I cashed the TEN gyms again 😱😱😱. I hope the resurgence of fastpokemap doesn't mean people start playing more again.

We're now level 25 & finally got a gyrados this weekend after having a magikarp as our buddy for 60+ km & then going to a seaside town over the weekend & catching 10 of them to get enough candy!! Very excited to have it but not battled it yet.

It's frustrating round our way as all local gyms seem to now be blue level 10 with massively high CP Pokémon holding them, so makes it impossible to battle down & take them (we're red team). Any hints / tips for this?

You need to learn which of your Pokemon is super effective against the bottom one in the gym - e.g. If it's a grass type, send in your fire types against it. You can do a surprising amount of damage with much lower CP Pokémon that way.

And I only need 3 Magikarp candy now this whole 1km per candy is a revelation, I was buddying a kabutops until yesterday, that was 5km and took ages!

I've had some disappointing 2k egg hatches of pidgey, weedle, zubat and rattata. However, I have been a gym leader for 14 hours and whilst out battling at the gym I caught a Ninetails! It is only a cp29 Ninetails but it is gorgeous.

I've got one and only gym. Can't get into any more. Boo.

Even the massive gym leaders go down when faced with the right team of six, you just have to nibble away at the high level gyms by facing up to the bottom couple and then running away. I ignore my team that the game lines up automatically because they are all big bruisers and there is more damage to prestige by putting out a low level team that takes advantage of the defender's weaknesses.

My advice is to ignore them and drive out to other areas where there are high level red gyms. It's a strategy that it working for me. Maybe when the kids come home from Uni we can attavk the local gyms but it's not worth the effort on my own.

This morning I finally got my first Dragon. I found him in the car park of a golf club. Unfortuanately he is only only CP346 and his doesn't even have good IVs 😂 He can hang out with my one and only Snorlax which is CP495 😪
