Pokemon Go #2. 6 balls to catch a Pidgey?!?

I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

Thought I would have a Pokemon tidy up so opened the app whilst sat watching the and this beast popped up. Happy days!

I hatched a duodo and rapidash today. 2 that i had buddied for ages.

Just spent half an hour taking down a level 5 gym. Popped my Poliwrath in and some kicked me out 15 mins later. I shall have to go back up there after dark when the kids are in bed to kick their backside.

I took out a level 5 gym too. Took about half an hour. Im still there. I got in a fairly remote level 7 gym 3 days ago and still there. For now.

I'm still in 7 others so can't really complain except I was hoping to hold it until 7am so I could claim. I'll take it at 9.30pm!

Ive never got in more than 3. They just get taken out so fast.

Team mystic have gradually conquered my village - works in my favour! There are a couple of gyms (the one today included) which swap hands regularly but 6 are solid - my record is 5 weeks in one.

This is the third day on a row i caught a dratini. Hope it continues

I'm in ten gyms at the moment but I can only cash them at 6:30 tomorrow morning. 😱😱😱

I am finding it more worthwhile to find high tier friendly gyms and power them up so I can join them rather than taking enemy gyms. It takes ages but I don't get kicked out.

I like the XP from taking gyms though. The potions needed are collateral damage for that.

I too wish it was easier to see what was going on at gyms and if a boost is needed. I drive past most of "mine" daily, though don't always have the chance to check them.

The incense trick doesn't work for me, I have tried it twice. My town seems to have run out of pokemon- I did not catch a single one even though I had the game on for more than an hour.

Yes I have started going to higher level friendly gyms too I seem to stay in there longer. Might have a drive about tonight and try to get in a few, really rocking it on a Saturday night hey!

Went to my parents earlier and saw an Arcanine shadow but couldn't find it. Was up and down the streets until it disappeared altogether. Gutted.

What is the incense trick I need to know.

Louise and bum set off incense where there's no roads and no regular spawns. It's tough to find a place. I live somewhere that has a ferry journey, so that works well. Usually if you're near spawns common stuff appears, but on the ferry I have had around 40-45 pokemon in the half hour incense time. And usually a few rare in there. Got ivysaur before, and lots of my other unusual pokedex ones!
Make sure you have signal though. Did it in another perfect location and got zero as my 3g disappeared

I should give up! I just took the gun down again and there is someone just waiting to kick me out the moment I drive off. Arse.

We're still in the Cathedral gym. The weather may be offputting to some - we stood next to the muddy bit covered in tombstones, this morning and waited for a bit of a gps drift, rather than get clarty trying to reach it.

Went to a local country park that has a few Pokestops and spent two hours gathering Pokeballs as I had so few. Like 11 Great balls and 23 Ultraballs. I now have 54 Pokeballs, 30 Great balls and 33 Ultraballs and only caught around 20 Pidgeyfuckers, Weedledicks, Ratbastards and Drowzees combined before my battery ran out. For some reason my battery pack wouldn't work. But I did manage to put 9km on my buddy Pikachu and now he rides on my shoulder. :o

I had better luck with the 5k eggs today and hatched an exeggcute and a growlithe, both new to me. I'm walking an Oddish as I have a fierce Gloom that I'd like to evolve.

A good day today considering I went absolutely nowhere! Hatched Pikachu (yay!) and caught a Doduo. A spawn point for randoms seems to appeared outside my house. A Seaking appeared but it swam away after escaping a few times.

My pokedex tells me i have caught 1000 pidgeys.....so few. Seems like more.

Lol, I've just looked and I've seen 1337 pidgeys and caught 1070... it true it does feel like it should be more 😂

I had a frustrating day wondering round a different town today. Voltorb, kabuto, pincir and meoweth all showed up on sightings but despite wandering around, even retracing my steps I couldn't find them. The quicker the bring back trackers the better. Also got in to 3 gyms, then was kicked out them all within an hour and the annoying thing was that I couldn't get any coins because my timer was still on from yesterday. I wish you got something (even maybe 5 coins) just for getting in a gym. Next time I shan't bother. I can get in to gyms but my men never last. Even the high level ones seem to frequently get taken down where I live, or mine get knocked out as there are so many over 2000cp where I live.
