I'm a couple of thousand XP from level 20. Once there I might just grind up all the rubbish for candies and evolve the best ones.

I now need to walk my buddies this far to evolve to the following pokemon.
Venosaur 201 km
Charizard 299km
Alakazam 129km
Dodrio 60 km
Muk 105km
Omanastar 115km
Kabutops 130km
Dragonite 430km
Seems a long way off!

Then I need to hatch chansey and lapras. Got another tangela today from a London egg.

Blimey that's a lot of walking. Maybe we should go on a long hike together

I haven't dared work out mine or I'll just stop the game altogether. I'm focusing on the fact that I now have 96 machop candy and 94 oddish so these will be my next ones. If I go with the distance it's 12 for machop and 28 for oddish which I can cope with. The rest I'm just ignoring.

I was hoping the maths would make me feel better. It didn't spare tangela is here and waiting. Annoyed that I found a regular omanyte spawn in London but couldn't wait there longer. Boyfriend was annoyed enough at me chasing them on our romantic trip! Just one more catch and transfer cuts 20km for omanyte, dragonite and kabuto so I'm looking for those most!

So was out in Manchester this weekend and managed to finally catch a Snorlax when casually sitting down for our evening meal but with only a CP of 532 - was a bit disappointed in that!

Other new ones include Cubone (the description!!! ) and a Seadra.

Have loads and loads saved up for a mass evolve session this weekend as I will be in London.

I've also notice some different ones in my area, even a Pikachu! I've noticed lots of Mr.Mimes everywhere too.

I finally found a vulpix tonight! DS will be happy- he likes the cute looking ones. Got 2 10k eggs in my collection at the same time- only had 3 altogether before this.

I agree soupdragon without fastpokemap I'm definitely playing less. With it I used to leave the house and run out for 10 mins or so to catch something if it was half good. Without it it's just too random. I can't use the Pokémon go sightings because there is a massive expanse of water near me and sometimes they can be the other side of the water and impossible to get to. With fastpokemap I could see if I would be able to reach it in time. I which Niantic would just spend time sorting out the game rather than wasting their energy on taking down the trackers.

My avatar has walked 1.3k on the sofa tonight. Will be ready to hatch a 2k egg having been nowhere by tomorrow I think.

Yes, FastPokeMap has taught me the spawn points too. If something unusual turns up on my sightings at home, I know where to go to look for it.

I caught my first snorlax (with the help of fastpokemap just before it went down). It has a CP of 43.

Likewise, I now know my usual spawn points thanks to FPM and I'm using Facebook groups to keep up with nests. But without the map I wouldn't have caught my lapras and that was definitely a game highlight for me; it augments enjoyment, doesn't ruin it!

All set for a mass evolve tonight having hit L 25 at last. I'm currently in 8 gyms and hoping to hold a few of them all week (nearly at 4 weeks holding one of them without a break!).

Is there a limit to to number of gyms you can be in?

My massive stock of Pokeballs from Stratford (afternoon in a pub with 2 stops accessible!) has dwindled and I'm back on subsistence. Oxford this weekend so hoping for lots of stocking up and some new, brainy Pokemon! 60 to evolve with Lucky Egg including 2 Evees ... and 20 Pidgeys! Need a spare half hour without interruptions.

Well the app kicked me out and I can't for the life of me remember my passwords and they make it really difficult to get back in

FastPokeMap are going to try a fix this weekend according to Twitter.

DS2 got logged out of Pokemon and couldn't remember details to get back in. he gave up playing as he couldn't get it sorted. I registered with my google account and its all remembered for me on my phone thankfully.

The app kicked me out yesterday too. Luckily my phone remembered the password from gmail so it was ok but I was panicking for a minute!

Got about 1.5k left on 5 eggs today (4x 5k and 1x 10k) so I'll be able to update on what I get when I've finished work. I'm hoping for at least 2 new ones, and if not new then bellsprout, abra, koffing or machop would go a way towards candies.
Haven't caught any of these in ages and only on about 10 of 100 candy.

Yeah, he tried that and it doesn't recognise either of his email accounts. We calmly assume he mistyped it. The idiot set it up ŵtih a random user name and can't remember that either. He's 15 though so should be able to sort it without his mummy's help :o

He now claims it is "too main stream"

We used to go pokemon hunting together :( I am more upset than he is. DD is keenbut her iPhone 4S can't cope with it and DS1 was only prepared to be seen with me when we located a Nidorqueen nearby.

what a shame! so he cant remember username or email account - doh! That's the kind of thing my DS would do. It has been great playing with him I have to say - it's extended my cool factor by a good year or so I reckon and, as a 12y old, he actually enjoys showing his mates my pokedex and they are still impressed. You're right though, it's only a matter of time before POGO is the new facebook.

It's so frustrating going back and forth with emails who on Earth remembers player id's on top signing in ID. It's putting me off.

I have had enough with all the fucking gyms and trying to battle them. As soon as I manage to knock my local level 8 gym down a level, it turns back to a level 8 one with the exact same pokemon that I just managed to knock out back in it.

I am becoming very bored of it all actually. It just feels so pointless.
